We (me and dd5) are leaving in less than 48 hours and I'm still freaking out over my plans! (I seriously need some help!) I got some great tips on scheduling my parks, but I got to thinking about Spectro and Wishes. It's in my plans to see them both on 5/14 (Sat), but now I'm not sure.
What would you do: See both on Sat. night - Spectro @ 9, Wishes @ 10 (hotel, midnight...lol), or see only Spectro on Sat (and beat the crowds out, at least a little), and then see Wishes on Sunday @9pm? We were planning on sleeping in a LITTLE on Sunday, and we'll be done w/our dinner @ Chef Mickey's by 7pm(if not earlier). I just don't want to exhaust my dd! Any thoughts? (Thanks by the way!)

If it were me, I'd probably just bite the bullet and do Spectro/Wishes on Saturday and keep Sunday open as a "rain date." When is your Chef Mickey dinner? Sat? Sun? If it's on Sunday you could always see Wishes AGAIN, only from the vantage point of the Contemporary. I believe there is a fireworks lounge on the 4th floor (the 15th floor observation is now reserved for diners only). Forget about sleep. Catch up when you get home.

I'd do them on the same day. It's really great to get a snack and park yourself in one spot to watch both.

I agree...see them both the same day. By the time Spectro is over, you're already pretty penned-in by a huge crowd that's not going anywhere anytime soon, and you don't have much longer to wait for Wishes anyway. So get comfy and enjoy.

We wanted to get to the Main Street train station last week between Spectro and Wishes (long story), and while it was accomplishable for us (we're locals and in the parks a lot, so we know all the cut-throughs) it was not fun. From now on, if we watch Spectro, we just stay put.

Don't worry about your DD...kids recover quickly from exhaustion. Enjoy your trip!!

I agree with the consensus! We just did both Saturday night yet we were still back in the room at AKL by 10:45. If you're concerned about getting out quickly, try to watch Wishes from close to the park exit. You won't have as good a view, but you will be able to beat most of the crowd out.

Thanks all! I guess I'll just plan to stay to see both unless dd is just to tuckered out, then we'll catch Wishes on Sunday.
Thanks again!
