I've virtually tried every spot known to man to witness the Spectro Magic parade. If you wanna be in the middle of magic w/tons of people surrounding you to really get that positive vibe coming off everyone, your best bet is Main Street, but, needless to say, get there 45 min-an hour early. If you just want a good unobstructed view, I've found Frontierland by Splash Mountain to be ideal...this is where the parade route ends therefore there's not a big crowd ( the crowds tend to gravitate to Main Street near the main entrance cuz a lot of people leave after the parade). Another good thing about the Fronteirland spot is you can usually get right on Splash Mtn after the parade ends, the view of the castle at night ontop of the mountain is unforgettable. ug:
We'll be trying to see Spectromagic on 9/26. As far as I know, it's the only night we can see it. Now, I can't really give away my spot, can I? We have two favorite places to watch this parade. One is in the hub by the castle and the other is in the Libery Square area. We buy supper at a CS location nearby and sit with our meals in our spots. We make a fun evening of it by hanging out with the gathering crowd, etc.
We'll be having a 6:15 Dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern and then watching Spectro Magic at 8:00 on the 19th (Monday) I'll be the smiling newlywed with the Digital Rebel

My favorite place to watch Spectro is front of The Hall of Presidents, but Frontierland in front of Pecos Bill's is also a good place to watch.
Last time we went it was great, because we headed over to Frontierland about 1/2 an hour before the parade started, but it gets to Frontierland last so we rode BTMRR and Splash Mountain a couple times with NO LINE (because everyone had staked out their parade spot) and then went over and got seats in front of Pecos Bill's for the parade with no problem.
I like sitting front of Hall of President's better, but it was great riding those two rides with no lines too.
If I recall correctly, there was a bulding right on the sidewalk that allowed me to sit down and enjoy the view without any heads in the way (I think I just sat on the stairs of the building)...and the characters from the parade still paid attention to me even though I was set back from the sidewalk. ug:

We watched Spectro in front of the castle and it was wonderful. Unfortunately we had to get there an hour ahead of time to get the spot. If you stand in front of the castle we were to the left of the circle the floats sort of turn there at comming off of Main then turn to go to Frontiere land it was a really great spot to be. We ate at Pooh's right after and when the fireworks started we stoof on the veranda of the restaurant it wa a perfect evening. I can't wait to go back for all of the food.
We arrived at the Magic Kingdom around 7:55
made our way back to The Diamond Horseshoe
and watched SpectroMagic from the TDH porch
It was our first ever Spectro Parade and it was
beautiful - afterwards we went in the Haunted
Mansion (no wait) watched "Wishes" Fireworks,
Rode Its a Small World.. Everything was perfect
My favorite spot is on Main Street right by the very beginning- in between of the barber shop and the Emporium. I was always able to find a spot about 20-30 minutes before parade time. Now, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Frontierland. So it's a bit of a wait.
