Spectacle of Pins... Please Help!!!

Please, someone help me!!! My family and I are not 'big time' pin traders... we have fun trading with CM's, kids, and other guests. Today we were talking to a gentleman that gave us the impression that people at spectacle of pins would not be looking to trade the kind of pins that we have (just normal-everyday pins).
Can someone give me an idea of what to expect? What kind of pins are traded at these events? Will we be bored since we don't have pins like this to trade... and honestly probably are not interested in the more expensive pins - we just enjoy talking to people and trading for fun. Please tell me what you have experienced before.

Pin events draw a wide range of traders. I am sure there will be many people with very valuable, hard-to-find pins. But you will also find people without overstuffed pin bags. Some may be new and therefore they may not have many traders. Other people are more <i>collectors,</i> rather than traders, and also may not have lots of high-end pins.

You may encounter people who will <i>scoff</i> at your pins, but do not let that put you off! Just try someone else. There are also many "pro" traders, regardless of the number of bags/books they have, who are still willing to trade non-limited pins.

A lot of these people are WDW locals, have a tremendous amount of pin-knowledge, and many have the patience to answer questions, even if they can't work out a trade with you.

Remember, the first rule of pintrading:
If the trade doesn't <i>feel right</i>, walk away.

I agree with all Robyn said.....you will find a variety of pin traders there. If someone tosses out the "you don't have any good traders' that just means they are a rude person and you don't want to trade with them anyway!
