Specific tickets for Specific days

I am going to be buying a one day after 12p ticket (through a conference) which I will use at Epcot and one day park hopper (for which I will make FP+ for MK.) When I scan in (after 12pm to Epcot) how can I ensure that they use that half day ticket vs the full day one?

BEFORE you go to the first park gate, stop by any Guest Relations booth and have your tickets' PRIORITY set for which ticket that you want to use first.
