I have some questions for the veterans here. We are going to WDW and FW for our first time in early Dec. My wife has been diligently planning, but she has some burning questions that I hope some of you can answer:

1) What is the best (or maybe only) WDW-sponsored transportation from FW to Epcot and when should we start that trip to ensure we can get there at opening time at 0900.

2) We have reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast one morning before the Magic Kingdom even opens...where do we go to check in for that?

Thanks. We are very excited.

OK, here we go, all aboard for Epcot, probably the easiest route is to catch the internal campground bus to the Reception Outpost, which is at the entrance to the Fort. From there, you catch the bus going to Epcot, (buses show their destination on the front and sides of the bus). For a change of pace, you could catch the ferry at the marina which takes you directly to the Magic Kingdom, then take the monorail to the Ticket/Transportation center and switch to the other monorail that goes to Epcot. We took the bus usually and seems like it took around 30-45 minutes from the time we left the camper until arrival at Epcot.

Are you staying in your own camper, or in one of the cabins? If you are staying in a cabin, you could request to be close to the Outpost and possibly end up within walking distance. That saves some time because you aren't taking two buses (or rather, you won't be waiting for two buses).

If making rope drop at Epcot is really important to you, I'd plan to be at the Outpost about an hour ahead of time. You may have to wait for a second bus if it happens to be a busy day (doesn't happen often - only when you really want to get somewhere fast ) and that should give you plenty of time to get to Epcot and through bag check and be ready to go.

When trying to make an opening, you should always try to be on the FIRST bus or boat(MK) in the morning. Transportation begins at least one hour before the park opens, so you need to check the times the night before. Good Luck!

They open a gate at the far right end of the MK entrance for early CRT ADR's you just go to that gate and give them you revservation # and put your ticket through. If you don't see the gate ask a cast member. I would take to boat to the Magic Kingdom.

Which would be quicker to get to Epcot, boat or bus? I think we will be close to the marina.

Is the Reception Outpost the only theme park bus stop at Fort Wilderness? Would you take a bus from your loop to the bus stop, drive your golf cart, or ride your bikes? I didn't know there were parking their for the golf carts or bike racks for the bikes.

The only direct transport from FW to EP is by bus.

You can go "the scenic route" - boat to Contemp, monorail to TTC (or boat to MK boat/monorail to TTC), switch monorail to EP.... which is fun, but the long way.

Yes. There is a place to park golf carts/bikes near the bus stop. Ditto down by the marina if you're catching the boat to MK.

I would reccomend taking the boat to the Contemporary, then walking over to the Magic Kingdom to get there in time for your early CRT breakfast.

The boat to the Contemporary starts at 6:45am. The boat directly to the Magic Kingdom starts about 45 minutes before park opening.
