Specialty Fireworks Cruise Recent Experiences?

Has anyone booked a Specialty Fireworks Cruise recently? I booked one at our 60 day mark for March and the only location offered at the time was Contemporary. They said to keep checking back because they may open up more locations. I assume this is a precaution for staffing reasons. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and if they did indeed open up more spots, when it might have been? We are looking for the Polynesian if we can get it, but currently have the Contemporary reserved.

I had a Speciality Fireworks Cruise booked for Jan 3 at the Wilderness Lodge, but had to cancel when we went home early due to a medical issue (not covid). They said on the phone all the boats were docked at the Grand Floridian but would come to the WL to pick us up, so

Just in case anyone is reading this later on...
I called back today and got someone who was much more knowledgeable and she was able to change it to pick up at the Polynesian. I think the first CM I spoke with was misinformed.

How hard was it to get that reservation? I am trying for one in a week (MK specialty cruise) and hate that everything has to be booked at the same 60 day mark. Hi! I booked it before 60 days but not on our very first day of 60+10. I think it was about 62 days in advance.

Everything else you mentioned can be booked online beginning at 6am Eastern. For the Specialty cruise you have to call beginning at 7am Eastern. I would recommend calling at 7am because I called later in the day and the wait was more like 2 hours. Right at 7am my wait was about 20 minutes. Hope this helps!

I just tried calling and the CM said nothing had been loaded into the system for February and March so I couldn't book it. Does that sound right? They also offered 60-210 minute cruises which I found odd.

I have a fireworks cruise booked in March so I don’t think that’s right. Maybe they are fully booked though?

they do offer day cruises, that’s probably what they were talking about.

yeah, that's what I thought, super frustrating because by the time I called back the wait was 2 hours
