I have reviewed many of the menus before making ADRs for my August vacation, and I just happened to think, I haven't heard anyone comment on specials.

I assume the restaurants at WDW have daily specials. If I am correct, what do they usually offer (I realize this is a broad question)?

If I recall last year the only places we saw/heard of specials were the signature restaurants.

Most of the Disney menus are very fixed. There are not specials like you would find at your local places.

The PP is correct, usually the signatures MIGHT have a special. But what you see is pretty much what you get!

Most places seem to have 2-3 specialty dishes then some 'other stuff'

Some "other stuff' is better than others. I tend to eat the same thing when we go to specific places.

Prime time = fried chicken, DH gets pot roast or meatloaf (although I have heard very good things about the stuffed pepper). Had the pasta once

Sci-fi - not brave, only burgers

Kona - Scallops & Shrimp (i get the shrimp sauteed, not fried), DH gets the mahi mahi

Flame Tree - Ribs or chicken, switch off each trip. Had the sandwish once, not a fan

We do tend to try a new place each trip, still so many places we haven't gone. BUt we do tend to hit a few favorites each trip

Let us know how your trip goes :cool1:
