Specials for X-Mas?

Does Universal hotels normally offer perks and specials for Christmas or is this normally set to the holiday rates?

We stayed at the Hard Rock over Christmas, and the best prices I found were at Hotelkingdom.com. I searched all of the different rates and discount sites. We plan on going again next Christmas so I would love to hear of any great deals!!!

I had booked thru lowes last holiday at got 219 for PBH and that was called a promo that you just had to ask if they had specials to get. The week before i left for the trip i called back and they had AP rates for 155 and switched my rooms to this rate so you just have to poke around and don't give up on checking back. I recommend you book the hotel of choice and then keep calling for new rates. I called every week for the 30 period before we left and it was six days out that i finally scored a great rate! Expedia also offered a buy 3 get one free and some black out dates applied that blocked the week of x-mas and nye but around two weeks before that ended they released those dates to be included in that deal.
