Speciality local guides in Nassau

Has anyone worked with any of the Disney shore excursions to book a local guide for niche touring? For example we love local history and culture. I'd be delighted to have a local historian take us around - can I book a private Jeep tour and request that? What if I wanted ghost stories (it's HotHS)? I see that there are private guides and options for small group touring - I'm wondering where I could start on getting that tour customized. If I can't customize a Disney shore excursion that way, what should I look for with an independent tour service?

Unless there is something I don’t know… I don’t think you can customize shore excursions. (But please correct me if I am wrong) Excursions are usually very « cookie cutter ». Better book an independant tour. Just make sure to come back on time and be refunded in case the cruise/the port is cancelled.

I second the Bahamian Food Tour. It was awesome. Did it with DH and DD who was about 24 at the time. We all loved it.
