special vac. prices & aaa vs. dreamsunlimited

In the midst of planning my family vacation and I need help. If I go with AAA, I save $70 but the agent cant really assure me she would know about a fall special that I could take advantage of if it comes up after I book the trip. Dreams unlimited has some special notification they get right from disney and it seems they will apply it to you vac if it's during the time that you are going. Does anyone know anything about AAA, can they find these things out (specials) and if I happen to catch wind of a special can I then call AAA to have them apply it to my package or no?? How does this all work?? Need some experienced advice!!

My suggestion is to find a AAA agent who is very familiar with Disney
I booked with one from here and she will apply whichever discount is a better deal

We just booked our December trip with AAA in February. We were only required to give a $200 deposit and the final payment isn't due until October. If any specials come available during the summer, etc. we can "upgrade" our current package to include those specials, or we can cancel our current reservation and re-book with the better rate!

We booked in Oct for our Feb trip for 4 adults and 2 children (2 rooms) with park hopper passes and dining plan staying at Pop Century. About 3 weeks later, Disney was offering a deal with lower hotel rate and upgraded tickets to include waterparks, Disney quest, pleasure island etc. I just called my agent and the special offer was applied to our package.

AAA guests do get special perks such as Diamond Preferred Parking Pass which allows parking in the front of the lots in all 4 parks, special discounts on Downtown Disney rest. and shops, discounted Disney tours and recreation. Plus depending on the time of year upto 15% off the room rates. We only paid $92/night at PC in Feb. Can't beat that.
