Special Tomato?

Hi there,

We used to rent an advanced mobility stroller from Orlando Stroller Rentals. I see now that they've switched their special needs strollers to the Special Tomato stroller. This isn't a stroller we've had the chance to try out. Does anyone have any experience with it? It looks like it might be easy to manoeuvre. Is it?

Without looking, I'm assuming it's the Special Tomato EIO? If so, it's a great stroller/push chair. You will likely love it!

We use the special tomato eio push chair. It's lightweight but has postural supports built in. It's a great option when we don't have or wheelchair with us. Special tomato also makes a jogger that is great. The push chair reclines fully which is good for resting.

It's the special tomato jogger. It looks more manoeuvrable than the advanced mobility pushchair. Well, I'm looking forward to it.

I have seen both, but not pushed either one.
The Special Tomato jogger has the front wheel kind of tucked underneath the feet. That makes it a bit shorter, which would make it easier to fit and easier to turn. It looks very nice.

If it's the jogger it turns easily and will be a nice option for even taller kids. It's not as supportive as the push chair, if you need postural supports but a nice choice for them to offer for kids with special needs.

This is great to know. My son is 11 and we'll need to graduate up to something larger soon, but maybe we can defer it another year... (He's still a bit small for his age though, most people think he's 8 or 9)
