Special ticketed event May 13 at MK???

Just checking park hours before we leave tomorrow, and it says that there is a "special ticketed event" at MK on Sunday from 7:45 - 9:00. What in the world is this? We are only at WDW for three days, and Sunday is our MK day. We are planning to be there at rope drop - and we are staying onsite so we could make use of EMH - but this is different. Please help!

It’s a small number of people (200ish) and it will not impact your day in any way.

No need to freak out, you’re good. If anything, going on an EMM morning means there is ZERO chance the current 9AM opening will change... so one less thing for you to worry about.

For a 9am opening, they let you through the gates 7:45ish-8AM and you can roam Main Street / the Hub. The opening show is on the castle stage at 8:55AM, after which they “drop the ropes” and the park is open. (Sorry if you already know all that!)

I like to get there in the (roughly) 7:45-8:30AM window... maybe grab a ride on a Main Street vehicle if they are operating, grab a coffee from Starbucks (be prepared for long lines), get some PhotoPass shots, enjoy the the morning, etc. There’s a fair amount of flexibility with your rope drop timing with this opening procedure, depending on what you want to do.
