I want to do something really nice and special with my new husband while we are in Florida for our wedding, any idea's? It doesn't necessarily have to be a Disney thing, and we have a car so can travel.

Me and my DF are doing two tours when were there for our wedding and honeymoon. That's something nice to do were doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour in MK and the Around the world tour in Epcot (it's a segway tour!) They have soooo many tours that you can do. And sooo many things in orlando. You can go to the spa and get a couples massage that would be nice and relaxing. Your opions are really endless your in the number 1 vacation place in the world!! Hope this helps! :flower3:

At disney... honeymoon photoshoot at epcot, spa time, dessert party, and segway tour are a few ideas we are playing with for our trip! Last trip my DH surprised me with a romantic packages at our disney resort (flower petals, bubble bath, etc.), and a fireworks cruise. Also there are some great restaurants for romantic dinners. I'm sure others will chime in with lots of other ideas!

If you have a car, and aren't normally near the ocean, taking a trip to the coast for a couple of days would also be very romantic and special:) Maybe you could see a shuttle launch on cocoa beach. We LOVE st. augustine, and they have some very romantic places to stay and visit, horse drawn carriage rides, etc. Oh it's just a beautiful town. But I wouldn't drive all the way to either place for just the day, I'd stay atleast a night, or two.

Enjoy!

Spend the day at Discovery Cove!

Cocoa Beach is only 45 minutes away, so you definitely wouldn't need to stay the night there if you went to visit. That would be a fun day-excursion!

I'd also reccommend the Leu Gardens, which are very nice, and Park Avenue in Winter Park if you are looking for something romantic outside of Disney.

Hmmm I kind of like the idea fo the spa but I don't know if DF would, we did look at the tours and decided they were to expensive. We are from the UK and suffering due to the poor exchange rate.

I'm doing a DP for our wedding, so that's out. Maybe we could do a nice meal somewhere, where would you suggest?

We did Discovery Cove last time we went, we loved it, but I wanna do something that we have never done before.

We are going to go to Cocoa Beach for the day, maybe I'll team it with a nice meal and a stay at a posh hotel.

Thanks for your idea's guys :thumbsup2 Anymore?

We are going to take a day to go over to Cocoa Beach. My future wife has never been in the ocean so it will be a very exciting thing for her to do (I'll be laughing and smiling too).

I second St. Augustine but agree that you should make it an overnight and saty in a bed and breakfast. The drive isn't bad at all, less than 2 hours from Orlando. Real pretty, romantic, historic town.
As far as beaches, we love Honeymoon Island State Park. We do that as a day trip quite often. Get there early if you want to take the ferry over to the little island...some days it fills up quick. The beach itself is really nice though even if you don't go to the island.
I also absolutely love Sanibel and Anna Maria Island, but those are more than just day trips. The beaches on the east coast are nice, but I think the ones on the west coast are quieter and more romantic. It also depends what you like though...the east coast has the big waves and more of a bar/party atmosphere, the west coast has the quieter water, nice seashells and usually nicer sand.

I am doing a honeymoon photoshoot! ITs super awesome~

Another suggestion I just thought of if you have limited funds and don't want to travel far is Celebration (if you've never been there). It is a very pretty town to walk around and has several great restaurants. They even have a segway tour that probably costs less than Disney's and little boats you can take out on the lake. If you are lucky there might even be a festival or event going on in the town. I love the pie festival and DF loves the car festival!

We are having the wedding night and the night after in the contemporary (nana has got the kids at the villa!)

So the day after the wedding we are having a lazy pool day then dinner in california grill at the contemporary, heading up to the room to watch the fireworks (we have a tower room with theme park view) then going out to jellyrolls for some fun.

The next day (check out day) We are having breakfast then heading out to Epcot for the segway tour. Then back to the villa - pick up the troops and off to clearwater beach for the afternoon and evening.

Linz xxx :)

If you go to Discovery Cove, you must do the Dolphin Swim Experience. My fiance and I did it in Sea World San Diego (that's how he proposed ) It is a little pricey, but well worth it, Discovery Cove has an all day inclusive dolphin swim that includes quite a bit food, snorkeling, wading with rays (I had the detailed website and can not seem to find it).

I'm thinking about doing this for our WDW honeymoon. There are just so many things to do, it is hard to choose, the time will go so fast.

We did the parasailing and it was pretty cool. You can see the entire Magic Kingdom as well as Spaceship Earth and Tower of Terror off in the distance.

I plan on booking a carriage ride out of POFQ. You can do them late, I want 9:00 and bring on champagne.

We did the private dining at Grand Floridian. It was perfect! You have your own private view of the fireworks and a fantastic meal (you choose your own menu). The dessert was the best part! I also loved the private boat trip that took us to see the fireworks.
