I'm looking for some fun and "sneaky" things I can do for friend who is joining us for our DL trip. I have ordered a cake to be delievered to our rest. on her actual bday. I personally don't feel right spending moola on a Disney florist thing as she has to cart stuff home on plane and we r staying at GN hotel anyway. I am open to getting her stuff but I really don't think Jumbo Mickey is gonna fit in her suit case. She is a huge pluto fan and I plan on getting her bday button but other than that am lost.

You could do this:

Celebrate a "My Disneyland Birthday Party" with Mickey and Minnie!

Searching for a magical way to enjoy your big day? Make plans for a "My Disneyland Birthday Party" at Disneyland Park's Plaza Inn! Join your host, Pat E. Cake, for a happy, fun-filled celebration featuring music, merriment, laughter and cake decorating — with a special appearance by Mickey and Minnie Mouse. All Guests receive a party hat, souvenir sipper cup, mini birthday cake, icing and cake toppings.

Seating daily. Priority Seating can be arranged at Plaza Inn, City Hall, Guest Relations information kiosks and by phone.

Price: $15.99 per person*

The party hats are cute and have Mickey ears on them.

Maybe buy her a shirt or something in advance? You could give it to her there, or maybe before just to stir up the anticipation and excitement! I always hit up the Disney Store (or outlet!) before we go to get a few little gifts for our daughter. If your friend is fairly small, here's a great deal. They only have mediums left, but the shirt is junior sized, so it would fit her if she's usually about a size small or so. There's other good deals there, too. Good luck and have fun!

We like going to the Tortilla Factory in DCA. If the CM notices the birthday button, they'll give you a whole pack of tortillas instead of just one. We just have to go at the right time of day so we can get the flour tortillas and not the corn ones. Too bad the Boudin tour doesn't give out whole loaves of bread.

Just make sure to keep the button visible for unexpected things. We were in WDW MK this year. In the sandwich/dessert restaurant (forgot the name), the CM saw my son's button and gave him a 10" chocolate cookie as a gift from Mickey.

Could you give her a shirt or maybe a gift card so she can spend it on something that she would want at the park. Also maybe a dinner at Napa Rose? How about a character meal. I know at Goofy Kitchen you get to meet pluto and take your pic with him.

A shirt is a possiblity if I find one that hits me right. A gift card is great idea but I honestly think she still has last 2 I gave her (both disney ones). WE are doing Goofy's kitchen night before her bday for dinner and eating at blue bayou day of. Plus we have ressies/adrs at several other places.

She doesn't want to do BBB as I already asked her and she and I both have enough tiaras to open our own store LOL. She has been to DL twice before but never really gotten to Experience DL ( once was just a DTD vist, once was a day at Dl but place was crazy busy and she only had few short hours I guess).

What about surprising her with some disney snacks in the room. That way she can eat them on the trip and not have a bunch of stuff to bring home. If you have a way to be sneaky at the parks before her actual birthday, you could buy some things like the prepackaged snacks or maybe mickey rice krispie treats. Then you could put them in the hotel room when she's not looking and make sort of a gift basket. Maybe bring a gift bag to put stuff in since that would be easier to pack than a basket. Or you could search for disney snacks and trinkets before you go (dollar store, target, disney store, etc) and then assemble the treats into a gift bag/basket once you get there.

I might just do this as it was along lines of what I originally wanted to do.
