Special Things to Do at the Parks?

I'm going to post this over on the Resorts board for ideas at our resort, too...hopefully that is OK.

We've got an upcoming trip in December that DH and I booked (and paid for) my parents as a surprise trip. Our main celebration is that my mom was cancer free for the second time. (She's had breast cancer twice.)

We just got the news yesterday after a skin biopsy that she now has a form of skin cancer.

I'm looking for any ideas for special things to do in the parks; this trip has become even more important than it already was. (Not sure what DM's treatment plan is going to be yet, so we're in the worrying phase right now. My every day escape from the stress is going to be trying to make this trip even more amazing.)

I know about the people that deliver baskets/gifts to the rooms, and we're planning on decorating our windows for Christmas. (I've also looked in to getting a custom cake made for our meal at CM, but I'm not sure about that one yet.)

Does anyone have any other ideas for special things to do at the parks? I need to make this trip something that is going to completely take my mom's mind off of the nightmare in our everyday lives that is going on right now.

Have you thought about a behind the scenes tour? We're doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour for my birthday in November.

Take the Segway tour, either in Epcot WS, or over at Fort Wilderness.

This assumes some level of mobility for the people in your party.
