Hello everyone. Just curious, I have 2 boys ages 6 and 3. Are there any special things geared just for boys at disney? I know there are lots of things for little girls, but how about little boys? Thanks!

We didn't do it but I think I remember reading about haricuts at the barbershop and glow in the dark streaks? At MK I think.

I don't know about any special activities, but be prepared to ride the Buzz Light Year ride OVER AND OVER AND OVER!!! My sister and I took her 4 year old in September. We rode that ride so many times, it almost made me sick!!!

Just off the top of my head-
Build a Light saber, Build a potato head, Jedi Training, Lego Store DTD, Pirate Cruise, fishing, shooting gallery at MK, barbershop at MK, T-Rex restraurant at DTD, renting bikes and campfire a Fort Wilderness.

Pirate Adventure Cruise at Yacht Club, although I think it might be 4-12's.

And you must try and get them up on stage at the Jedi training. this was the highlight of our holiday for DS8 and DS6! and it's free!

Oops sorry PP I never saw you'd put the pirate cruise down.

The favorite park for my 2 boys is HS. They love the Indy show, TSM, Star Tours and the Jedi Training Academy. The characters are great too (Power Rangers, Incredibles, Buzz/Woody, Little Einsteins). We also had their faces put into a Star Wars picture of them as young Jedi with lightsabers.

At MK, we rode POTC, Buzz and Indy Speedway many times. They loved trying to pull the sword out of the stone behind Carousel (that was their favorite new thing to do this past trip). Saw the Pirate Tutorial with Jack Sparrow.

Oct was our first trip for pin trading. DS6 really got into looking for CMs with lanyards and trading pins each day. Plus he managed the autograph book and enjoyed seeking out characters.

Next trip we'll try the pirate cruise. DS3 was too young, but we saw them heading out at the GF, it looked fun.

They love all the character meals and we fit in as many as we can into our trips. We find lots of fun things to do with our boys. Have fun planning!

We were there this past march and we are going again in March 09. My boys are the same age as yours. To be honest, we didn't do anything special for "boys". They just rode all of the rides and loved the character meet and greets.

They loved everything!! So there was no need to do anything extra. There is plenty of stuff that they will enjoy.

I will say the Power rangers at DHS were the highlight of my boys trip!! They were fantastic and very entertaining.

Jedis. Lots and lots and lots of Jedis.
Power Rangers. PIRATES!
My kids have done the pirate cruise two years in a row now, and want to do it again. They are 5 and 7. It is so fun for them.
Did I mention Jedis?

Jedis. Lots and lots and lots of Jedis.

So funny! With my 2 boys, everything is a lightsaber - sticks, straws, pencils...

One good thing to bring is a pack of glowsticks. Get them at the dollar store, one pack for each night. Give them to your boys for the night parades and shows, and have some handy to give out to their new friends that sit next to them. I got a tube of 15 glowsticks for $1, cheap fun excitement!!!

HI!

I have 4 boys and to be honest we really don't do anything "special" for them - we pretty much steer clear of the princess hoopla and that's it. We also plan "fun" meals - Hoop Dee Doo, Whispering Canyon, Character.....

They will enjoy EVERYTHING!!!! DOn't try to "plus" your trip - just have fun!!

Now, on the other hand we are attending the Toy Story Mania dismeet during Mousefest and my boys are super-charged about that!!

My son loved everything! Next year he's looking forward to the lego store, building his own light saber, being a pirate... He LOVEd driving the race cars, eating at chef mickeys, riding rollar coasters...
Just sit back and enjoy!

Where do they build light sabers and potato heads?

If you're staying on-site at one of the resorts, check to see what activities they offer. There were a number of great free activities at AKL that my boys really enjoyed.

My boys are a bit older, but they love the Lego store and the toy store at DTD, they also enjoy eating at Chef Mickey's, and spending time going down the pool slide. Or youngest does really enjoy the shooting arcade at the Magic Kingdom.

We took them to Hoop de doo last time and they LOVED it. It was their first experience with this kind of show.

The boys both enjoy different things, so we try to see and repeat the rides they each individually enjoy and the ones we love as a family. The oldest doesn't like Pirates of the Carribean but he does love Mickey's Philharmagic.

Go and have fun! Except for all the princess stuff, the boys love WDW just as much as any girl.

I can't tell you how often I have said, WDW really needs to have a boys based character meal. I always liked the idea of an "Adventurers" breakfast/lunch etc. They could have Aladin,Buzz, Woody, Tarzan, Capt. Jack, Peter Pan, Hercules (you get the idea). With all the princess hoopla, I really think Disney underestimates that the boys could hold their own.

My boys have no problem finding many fun things to do for them.
