I'm planning a trip with a sister and cousin this Feb. - we might do Epcot one day. What special things would you suggest?

Has anyone done a character meal at Garden Grill? lunch perhaps? can you describe?

This would be a sunday and we probably won't stay for illuminations.

why not consider doing the ice cream social at garden grill instead of a full meal...good character interaction with ice cream...how can you go wrong...and best of all, not too many people know about it so it doesn't normally get too crowded...
have fun!!!!

We have had lunch many times at the Garden Grill. It's one of our favorites. But I have read that they don't serve salad with lunch anymore and that was a highlight for us. My favorite entertainment in Epcot is Voices of Liberty - pre show at the American Adventure. You have to check the schedule to catch them - and Off Kilter - an unusual (to say the least) musical group that performs on a stage next to United Kingdom. We enjoy all the entertainment in Epcot. It's not hard to spend a day there. Honey, I Shrunk the Audience is also entertaining. If you are big on thrill rides, you might be disappointed but thrill rides are not a priority for us.

We've done the dinner at Garden Grill a couple of times, but it's been a few years. I would recommend it. We thought the food was really good. We plan on doing it again on our next trip (once we figure out when that is) The characters were Chip n' Dale, Mickey and I think Pluto, dressed in farm attire. I can't quite remember the food, except for the catfish. I don't usually like fish of any kind, but this was done really well. DS also had dirt and worms for dessert, but that's about all I remember right now. Also, the restaraunt turns while your eating. It's pretty cool.

As for things to do, my favorite is to just SHOP through WS. :) We also enjoy the live entertainment throughout WS. One thing I did on our last trip (not that I would consider this "special" but it was fun) was to have the henna done in Morocco. It was a fun souvenier that lasted for a few weeks after we returned home.

Well there was a great thread here last week about things you might otherwise miss at Epcot...I'll try to find it and bump it up for you.
