Special Space Mountain Car?

Oh yes, it was meant to be funny. Can you imagine if your teacher saw you...you're supposed to take care of a pretend baby, and you take it on Space Mountain? :rotfl:

Editing because I was wrong about the lantern! That's what it used to be (a lantern in DCA's Pacific Wharf area). Right now it's a lantern that you see just as you're coming out of the Pooh ride. I love lanterns, lights, and lightbulb strings in DLR. :)

Oh nice! I will look for it. Thanks!

What the OP saw bothers me on soooo many levels:mad:. Being a new mother of a 2 month old, I can not imagine the stupidity and sheer irresponsibility of someone with a child that age riding Space Mountain! One thing that does cross my mind is child swapping...it could have been that type of situation and you did not see it clearly.:confused3.

I cannot possibly imagine the CMs would let the vehicle go if it were indeed a baby. Think about how many posts we all read here about how strict they are with measuring kids. A baby is not going to slide by. I have to believe there is more to the situation.

I agree as well. They stop each car to make sure that the lap bars are secure. They go through every seat. I agree that there is something more to the situation. I highly, highly, highly doubt that a baby would have gone on the ride. AND...if by some chance the baby did go on the ride, they would have CERTAINLY noticed when they got done with the ride and pulled the car over again to unload the passengers and I can't imagine that would have gone over well.

I totally agree with you.....I was thinking the same thing. :)

But Rider Switch is done *outside* the attraction at DLR. You don't even go in the line, well unless there's a line just to get to the first CM, with your under-height children.
