Special seating request for Jiko

We just changed our ADR for Cape May to Jiko, because we cannot go to WDW again without eating here.
We stayed at AKL last December and took the culinary tour. During the Jiko part of the tour they seated us at the little bar, near the stoves, in the middle of the restaurant, and a chef gave us an overview of the restaurant and we sampled some flatbreads.
We would like to request to sit at this area again. Can I have this request added to my ADR and if so, what should I specifically ask for.

I would just request it as you have written it here, I am not sure there is a specific name for that area.....Maybe others know, but I would get the request in for now.

In addition to what Mackey Mouse has already said, I would also arrive extra early for your ADR, check in and remind the seating staff of your special request, tell them that you are in no hurry and you would gladly wait at the bar until your request can be filled. This way you give them ample time to meet your request, and they know you are there waiting.
