Special offer @ SSR

plus i have a february use year i get all 175 points this year which all points are bankable

We are in the process of buying. We haven't signed our paperwork even yet. Do you think they would still offer this special to us, or is it too late? Any ideas.

Oh, this does make things interesting... My family and I have a stay starting on Saturday at BWV and have scheduled a "member tour" at SSR on Monday morning (we live in a no-direct sale State). We were planning on either buying some additional BWV points at the $92 rate or doing nothing at all... This offer will cause me to do some furious math! I wonder what this will do, if anything, to the ROFR floor of the older resorts?

Ok, so I'll ask the question everyone who has bought in the last month is dying to ask. I bought as soon we could afford it and didn't wait for the next offer to come out because as long as I've been watching DVC, the price has gone UP, not down! Do those of us who bought in at $90/pt (less than 30 days ago) have any hope of getting anything from Disney along the lines of the difference? I'm guessing no, but if anyone else has been in this situation before and has asked, I'd love to know what you were told. I may call my guide and see what he has to say....but no time right now..... Any been in this situation before have any thoughts?

There have been various incentives at SSR between price increases including the free AP's, $10 off, bonus points, etc. These are geared more and more to existing members. It appears that this new deal reaches out to "friends" for the first time. They like to raise the price periodically to guage the marketplace but shortly thereafter ever increasing incentives follow. Unless you are within the window to cancel your original purchase I don't think you can hope for much. It's worth a call to ask though. Price is now not far off from the "pre-construction" $79 price. I would be concerned about the message that this sends regarding the "value" of SSR at $83 vs DVCI at $92

If it is limited to current DVC members and people they refer, it may not be extended to everyone.

I'm just curious to see how this promo progresses. I know if I had a December UY I'd be all over it!!! Even though I just bought 110 points. :rolleyes1

I don't have any desire to purchase SSR but if they put a discount on the VWL, I will be all over it. But, I can refer people I guess.

We spent part of our weekend at WDW with friends who bought SSR at $14.25 off on Monday, the day the deal was confirmed according to the guide, Niki. It's for new owners referred by current owners. The guide said the discount applied to us, too, but we didn't ask if that's only if you bring in new business. She didn't mention it again, maybe because she wasn't our guide -- ours was out that day. We didn't pursue it because we can't afford new points today.

By the way, the SSR grand villa is gorgeous beyond belief. Not beachy but very plush and beautifully appointed.

Ok so I'm going to do a tour in 2 wks. and they are not going to give this price to me ( Due to no referral or I'm a new member ) .
Does this mean I have to say no (come on here for a Current owner referral ) .then do the Phone tour.
My latest Yesterday was the $8 off ,June UY ,05 points .Still a good deal but $14 seals the deal if you still get the 05 points

What Use years for SSR will get points in the last year 2054? if any.
What is the actual end date?

Thanks

Out of curiosity.....did they offer this many discounts with other DVC's?

I would be happy to refer anyone to DVC who is interested. Just PM me and we will work out the process.

Well geeze now this puts me somewhere. I hate to be a pest but what to do now, any advice?

I called my guide on this today and he confirmed it was for add-ons. But I do know someone who is a DVC I could put her down as my referal person. Do you think I should be call the guide back again about this. I feel like a nut doing so.

I am not exisiting but I am brand spanking new, put down a deposit yesterday and I guess my documents have been Fed'exd to me yesterday too.

Any advice, what should I do???

Anyone who is willing to refer me, please PM me and we'll see what we can do.

If you read my past posts, you know that I have been looking into DVC for the past month and this deal seems to be "it" for me.

Thanks.

If you have a December UY, will they give you '04 points (banked, of course) too?

When do yo have to start paying MF's?

You will get 2004 points but will not be able to bank them. However, you can rent them out to use by 12/1/05. 2005 dues would be prorated based on the calendar month you close. I've always felt that December is the best UY month. This is all based on my prior experience. This deal could be different but I doubt it.

That depends. I know when I purchased my SSR add-on at the end of August, I got the 2004 points (Oct UY). They did allowed me to bank those. However, that doesn't guarantee that they would bank them if you did an add-on now for December. They might not since they have the extra discount, but ya never know. It would be a heck of deal if they did!

Your MF's start based on when you start the process. So if you called today to get the contract drawn up, you'd pay prorated MN fees starting today. At least that's how mine worked.
