Got a trip coming up in 30 days (man it sounds great to say that). Anyway, wife and I are celebrating our 20th Anniversary, and a friend is flying down (unknown to my wife) and it happens to be her birthday while we're down there.

I'd like to arrange for some kind of surprise to be waiting for the wife when we check in (maybe some flowers and champagne?) and something to be waiting in our friend's room on her birthday. Anyone have ideas on what I can do ?

Is the Disney Floral & Gifts what I'm looking for here ? Has anyone used them ? How are they ?

I'm not looking for one of the giant $550 Room redecorations - just some nice gift baskets or balloons or something.

If you want something placed in the room, you have to go through Disney Floral. The items will be placed in the room after check-in.

Are you all eating dinner together on the birthday? If so, you may want to consider having a cake at the TS restaurant instead. It's probably a lot cheaper than Disney Floral.

You aren't going to be able to have something in your room prior to check-in. When you check the prices, you might want to consider a different way to celebrate.

We ordered three custom 'baskets' from Disney floral and gifts for our 15th wedding anniversary trip a couple years ago. The celebration packages were ridiculous, but I picked out exactly what I wanted for each one and couldn't have been happier. I chose items which I thought were reasonably priced and mostly things we could either use on the trip, were likely to purchase anyway during the trip (fav snacks!) or items we would like to keep as souvenirs. We paid less than $300 for all three including delivery. DS had a drawstring backpack filled with some of his favorite snacks, a coloring set, a couple balloons, and a giant Pluto hanging out the top. Ours was a reusable cooler with Mickey wine glasses, a mickey wine stopper, Ghiradelli chocolates, and two bottles of wine. I don't remember what we put in DD's, but I know it was a Minnie tote bag, with an Ariel blanket and balloons as well. We were at the Poly for a week, and they gave the room a much more 'Disney' feel with the balloons and extra mickey stuff all around. We hesitated before ordering because of the cost, but multiple times during the trip we commented that we were so glad we had ordered everything. All were beautifully arranged and delivered when expected (after check-in as others have said). I would absolutely recommend them!

Thanks, DisMommyTX - the snack packs might be exactly what I need ! We're going to buy some of that stuff anyway, and my wife loves souvenir bags and things. I will check out the options ! It would be a nice surprise - I just wish they could have the arrangements waiting when you get to the room.

The problem with having it in the room when you arrive is that the room they assign to you might be changed to another guest before you check in. So they wait until you are actually in the room to make deliveries.

We have done flowers and birthday cakes before as surprises for family members. Disney makes everything special. The cakes are delicious and the flowers were beautiful!
