Does anyone know if its true that POP charges a surcharge of $10.00 a night for a special needs room?
I've heard this and find it quite unbelievable.
CRO said it's because people were abusing the rooms and booking them just to get close to the bus area when they didn't really need the room.
Hey...what about the people that do need these rooms?
Charge them?

hummm.......

This is not true. However, there is a $10 charge per night if you request a "Preferred Building" (regardless of accessibility) which in the case of Pop Century would be the 1960's buildings. The differenciator for the 1960's is that they are closest to Classic Hall, which is the building that houses the Front Desk, Everything POP Shopping & Dining, and the bus stops.

However, there are accessible rooms in other decades, so one does not need to book a preferred room if they don't want to.

It is Illegal to charge more for an accessible room than for a non accessible of the same category. If there is a charge for that building that would apply to other rooms as well and would not be for the accessible room.

Thank you.
I thought you couldn't charge extra for an accessable room.
Thank you for confirming the info.
