Special needs number or MS for requests?

We need a non-smoking room for medical reasons as well as a room on the first floor or near an elevator as well as near parking b/c of a DD w/ mobility issues. We do NOT want a handicapped access room, though. I understand that MS requests are just requests, so would I be better off contacting the special needs department or can they even work with the DVCs?

What resort?

If it is OKW, it may not have any rooms that meet your requests that AREN'T handicapped access. The parking lots at BWV & VWL are not close to the villas, and there are only one set of elevators for each. Can't tell you much about HHI or SSR or BCV room locations. I don't think you will have a problem at VB.

My advice is to post your question on the disABILITIES Forum or you might try sending a PM to SueM in MN. She is one of the mods there as well as a DVC member at OKW and has a family member with special needs.

Medical requests generally take precedence but all they can guarantee is a HC unit if they have one. If you don't want a HC unit, you're back to requests.
