My 73 year old Mom will be going with us to Disney in May!!! Fourteen years ago she had throat cancer and had to have radiation, she now has some difficulty in swallowing and must have a drink of water for every bite she takes. So she must have plenty of water. So far I've made PS at 'Ohana, Liberty Tree Tarven, Rainforest Cafe and 50's Prime Time cafe, should I just tell the waiter when he comes to take our order and do you think we will have any problems with them keeping will keep my Mom's water refilled???

In our 20 something years of dining in restaurants at WDW, most places do an excellent job of keeping water glasses filled although it seems to me it is always the busboy who does it not the server.

Perhaps you could write a little note to give to the host or hostess about your Mom's special need. I'm sure it would be taken care of. Or make PSs and ask that it be noted. Either way might make your mother more comfortable than having her medical condition discussed at the table. WDW really does a fine job of addressing folks special needs in our experience.

And you obviously are a very caring daughter to help give her a magical experience. Have fun!
