The spa idea is very nice but you could also consider a day at Discovery Cove and do a dolphin swim!!!

I took my DD on a mother/daughter trip when she was about 11 or 12. One of the highlights was going to see Cirque de Soleil. It was an amazing show!

its got to depend on DD's likes and dislikes.
13 (almost 14 y/o) DD and I had a day at AK together last trip and are having a day at Fort Wilderness pony trekking this year. I've never ridden a horse before in my 42 years but if it will make DD happy then I'll do it.
The we're off to Beaches and Cream for ice-cream sundaes.
DD spends a lot of time trying to be older and more sophisticated than she really is so a day when she can chill out, relax and not care if her hair is perfect or who might see her should be great

My daughter and I did a manicure at Saratoga last spring. She loved the pampering and it was nice to have some time together. We were the only ones in the spa room before our mani so we got to relax and talk with some tea and goodies.
