I'm not sure if this is the right place. But my son is graduating from H.S. and we are going to Disney to celebrate. His grandma would like to get him something special to celebrate the graduation- Disney related. Anybody have any ideas? Do they still do the lunch with Imagineers? He wants to become an Imagineer and he loves Donald Duck. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If this is not the right forum - let me know and I will try somewhere else. Thanks for your help! I love these boards!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Only 59 days to go!!! :hourglass

We were just there in March for DD's grad trip and they sell these cute Mickey Grad hats that light up. We had a great time with them...every character "commented" on them so it was great for extra character interaction. I know it's not a special meal but it might be a fun souvenir for him (depending on his personality).

DD says she's going to slip it on her head at the end of her commencement ceremony in June because everyone knows what a Disney fanatic she is. We'll be heading for WDW within hours of the ceremony so it may not come off her head for a while. ;)

Congratulations to your son.

I also got DD a special radio antenna for her car... adorable little mickey head with a graduation cap and tassle. She loves it!

Wow...that is so cool. What a great picture. :) Unfortunately, we have a 27 hour drive to WDW so we can't get there quite that fast. ;)

hehehe.. that might be a little bit harder too do :goodvibes Either way, celebrating a graduation at Disney is fun! My DD is quite shy and the CMs could sense that. They all came over to congratulate her :) I hope you post pics too! :goodvibes

bdpa, I sent you a PM. I have a little gift for your son, if you want it.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the ideas. We are very excited about going. Did any one know about the Lunch with the Imagineer? Thanks again. Keep those ideas coming!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We bought our son a share of Disney stock from oneshare.com---he absolutely loved it! He wants to be an animator so he thought it was great!

I love this idea and have done it myself. My suggestion is when buying it from the broker, ask them to send you the actual certificate (rather than have them hold it). The cert is so pretty (imo) and, if you like, you can frame it.

When we bought our son's share from oneshare.com it was the original certificate and nicely framed--Disney has a beautiful stock certificate(Walt surrounded by characters). Not only that but at the beginning of this year our son received the Walt Disney Company annual shareholder's report plus a ticket to attend the annual shareholder's meeting--he didn't go but thought it was so cool!

Isn't the AR beautiful? For the longest time I kept a collection of them for DD. The one that was especially touching for us is when M. Eisner wrote about the loss of Frank Wells :guilty:
