Ive tried the search function a few times and still couldn't find what I am looking for. Does anyone have a listing of what "Special" Food and Wine foods are being served at the different restraunts. The map I had only states to look for treats at....and lists the places. Taste Pilots, Award Wieners etc. Im taking my father and I want him to be able to try some new things. But I don't want to go one place with him, only to find something he would have enjoyed more at another location. Does a list like this exist? OH, and has anyone done the beer walk?

Thanks!

Here's what I think is most of it....

Award Weiners - Lobster Roll
Taste Pilots - Seared Ahi Tuna Salad
Bountiful Farmer's Market - Hummous and Vegetables
Cove Bar - Trio of Sliders (beef, pork and lobster) and Seafood Martini
Pizza Oh Mow Mow - Chicken Ravioli
Pacific Wharf Cafe - White Cheddar and Beer Soup in bread bowl
Mission Tortilla (Mexican counter service - I never eat there) - Chicken Enchiladas and Flan dessert
Lounge about the Wine Country Trattoria - 4 appetizers and 2 desserts (this looked great, but it wasn't open Sunday afternoon)

piggybacking here....

Nancy, do you know if they'll make adjustments on the FW fest foods? For instance, we'd love to try the winery's kimchi/bulgogi taco thing, but without the bulgogi. Think they could do it? Or are they totally pre-made, no adjustments allowed? (so sad that the only vegetarian item is the hummus and tabouleh dish...seriously people, it's CA, get some more veggie items please)

I would think they could, at least at the lounge, maybe. The other restaurants have more "bulk" items.

FYI - I forgot to mention the lounge has age restrictions - no one under 21 admitted - due to the alcohol service up there.....

The lobster roll is basically mayo and lobster on brioche, YellowMickeyPonchos paid for that one. I probably posted that on my May Check In.

On the link you can click on the pictures for views of the food. Not on that list is mango flavoured Delicias novelties by Nestle that are sold at the ice cream cart at the entrance to Condor Flats. It is sold in Hispanic neighborhoods primarily. It is however has a sign for the Food and Wine Festival describing the novelty much like they described the lobster rolls. The wine shop and bistro is on your left with the Tratatoria in the middle and the stairs/elevator to the lounge on your left. All wine pick ups are at the Guest Relations outside DCA.

The Cove Bar is only open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday around noon.

Thanks Laurie! I realized I forgot about the Mango Bar. My daughter even got one as part of the Junior chef class! They even have them at the Hagen Daaz Store at DTD - I saw that sign on Sunday as we were getting a banana sundae. I thought the Mango Bar was pretty good, although a little more "cream-based" than I would have expected.

Boy did I pay for that Lobster roll.....:scared1: I wasn't right for a few hours! I'd pass on that one if I had a do-over....:rotfl:

whoa girl TMI, lol. I heard that the sliders were good but for the price you can get two thirds of a Minnie Breakfast or dinner at Plaza inn or two hot dogs, two bags of chips and a soda pop.

Maybe the hound family can go with the bumbershoot family & when ordering...we'll tell them...."Please put Bumbershoot's Bulgogi on Hound's & Padewan Alec's taco." :thumbsup2

Are kids allowed at the tables at the cove bar? We will be there for the very end of the food and wine festival, but we will have kids with us. We would still like to try some of the specialty foods. Is the lounge the only place completely off limits (besides the tasting areas)? Thanks so much!

As far as I know only ESPN Zone and the Food and Wine Festival have age restrictions and these are separate from regular park policy. Kids should be fine in the Cove Bar. The Lounge also should not be off limits to kids unless it is considered and event and not a regular dining venue like Taste Pilot's Grill.

I think that would be a good idea! Just the other day I had lunch with my brother, and told them to hold the bacon in the spinach salad. Meanwhile, his sandwich had bacon in it, and I thought "I should have told them to put it in his meal". :)

Are you going during that time?

So where IS the "lounge"?

liesel, yes, at the *tables* they allow kids. Not right up at the bar, though. In that one way, it reminded me of being in WA...go to a bar (pubs sell only wine and beer and don't allow minors at all) and have to explain to your toddler "you can stay here, but you can't go over *there*" repeatedly. I tell ya, if the food weren't good....:rotfl:

The Lounge is upstairs at the Golden Vine Winery - go up the stairs and the Vineyard Room is to your left, and the Lounge is the patio area to the right. When I was there a couple of weeks ago there were several kids up there sitting with their parents at the tables.

Cocina Cucamonga has chicken tamales and not chicken enchiladas, though I have to say they look enchilada-like. :-) I liked them.

I had the lobster roll and OMG, it was soooooooooooooo good!!!!! I didn't have any issues of any kind after and I had that the night before we left so trust me, had there been issues I would have mentioned it, especially after a 6 hr drive home. LOL
