Does anyone know of anything going on 6/28-7/5, that may not be posted on the Disney site? A friend is traveling with her DD7, mother and sister. She expects it to be crowded, but didn't know if mom would need any extra preparation!

Because it is summer and the 4th of July it will be very busy during your visit. You can expect lengthy waits for attractions, especially MK.
To get some relief I would suggest the midday break. YOu can go early, leave after lunch for your resort for a meal, nap or swim then return to the parks in the evening. YOu will find cooler temps, some shorter lines and everyone will be in a better mood.
