Ok, so I know a lot of things are going on with planning and all. Recently, there was a link to a Facebook group for the May 20th CPs to a Meet & Greet Dinner at T-Rex (though now it is at Rainforest Cafe). Then today, i got a message about ordering a T-Shirt that I hope I can still get but my name wasn't on the list, and I had absolutely NO IDEA that was even happening. So I think it would be cool to, if there were any more of these, specifically for the May 20th group (if deadlines aren't passed, which the 2 I mentioned above are...) but for any day (just make sure to mention it) so we have at least some sense and can take advantage of these cool deals and fun times. don't know if anything else is happening, figured I'd ask.

Hi! So, for the Meet and Greet for May 20th arrivals--my daughter & I spoke briefly last nite as she's been so busy with school and working-- she told me she was going to have to cancel the Meet and Greet because the time has changed to something like 5:30. Is that correct? If so, its too bad, we are driving down from Chicago and dont expect to check into our hotel until late in the afternoon on the 19th--which cuts it close to that 5:30 time. She told me last nite that she was going to have to cancel because we dont know if we'll be there by 5:30--too bad, it would have been a nice opportunity for her and her friend whose been accepted to meet everyone. So, now its at Rainforest Cafe and its 5 or 5:30???

I believe that as of now there is a vote on for menu choice, location and times. Don't cancel yet!!! He announces the official vote results today and then you can cancel through tomorrow. The 3 choices are: 5 or 5:30pm at Downtown Disney Rainforest, or 6pm at Animal Kingdom (which would be cool because we would have the restaurant to ourselves!!) That's what I voted for, I would say have her send in a vote for her and yourself, for the later one at AK. I don't know what everyone will choose, but you can cancel after the official time is announced, so if you cancelled, try to get back in or wait and then try, because some people will need to cancel as well. If you haven't yet, I say wait and see. If you can't make those times, that really stinks!!! But there will be plenty of meet and greets over the first few days, meeting roomies, having dinners, that sort of thing!!

Officially it will end either tomorrow or soon thereafter. Sorry, if you could get there a little earlier, you might cut it close and make it. although rushing in will just make it even more of a hassle as you rush the next few days. Just figured I'd update this.

Thanks for the info! My daughters been so busy at school that we havent had much time to talk-- but, i feel she's probably already cancelled bcuz she said she was going to do so when we spoke briefly last nite. Its a long ride from Chicago to Orlando! I wonder if we arrived early enough, even tho she's cancelled already, if she could just stop by and meet everyone? Bcuz, isnt there a dinner thing? I dont know enough about it all, but, if she missed the dinner, I wonder if she could still stop by or would she just have to miss it altogether?

I dont see why you wouldnt be able to stop in and meet people!!! I was kind of hoping that alot of the people would want to hang out at one of the hotels after dinner and go to the pool or something. Hi! yes! my daughter is on the boards--her name is Tashiana T.-- however, she hasnt been posting lately bcuz she has soooo much going on at school right now--she graduates May 16th and we leave for Disney May 18th. She goes to WIU in Macomb, Il. Are you driving down with your parents? When do you leave for Disney?! My daughter also has a blog and I dont know how to get to it--Im not good at all that sorta stuff! But, if you go to the College Parents thread on here, she mentions it on about the second to the last page--you should try to go there--thats how I get to her blog. Also, she has a friend from school who also got accepted-- they want to room together and are either going to try for a one or two bedroom-- maybe you could talk to her ahead of time and you could all work something out for a 2 bedroom! Do you have a friend going too? What apartment complex are you interested in? What role did you get? Tashiana would love to hear from you--if you post something to her I think tonite she may have some free time, but again, I havent been able to speak with her for more than 5 minutes at a time for the last 3-4 days. Also, when do you plan on arriving in Disney?!
