Special event suggestions for family

I'm planning a trip for next March; Cast should include dd11, ds8, dh, and myself, plus...DMom, DDad, Dsis and DBIL. When the four of us went last June, we treated the kids to the Ice Cream Social in Epcot and loved it. Now I'm trying to plan one special event that the whole group would like; something maybe on a budget. We're thinking of staying at CSR, if that helps. Maybe a cruise? Anything else with characters, on a budget? (Besides the campfire/movie?) Does the Trails End buffet have lots of atmosphere? Any other special dining experiences? TIA

With eight people you have enought to be considered a "Grand Gathering". Start looking on Disney's web site for Grand Gathering. I have been to several of the special events and they were all lots of fun and the foods were good. Prices not too bad.
