special desserts? how do I order? & place to eat after marathon

ok, a lot in this posting...

I have read in several posts people mentioning "slipper dessert" what is that and where do I find out about these types of desserts.

now the big help that is needed.... I plan on running and hopefully finishing the Marathon. I need ideas for a celebratory dinner. One friend suggested either Cinderellas Royal Table or Crystal Palace for dinner. I was hoping to book the Palace for breakfast on Monday before we leave (we arrive on Friday night and leave Monday mid-morning). Is there any place that would serve me pasta for carbo loading on Saturday night? thanks so much!!!!

The castle would be a great celebration dinner!

I also love Crystal Palace. YUM!

Most places at WDW serve pasta. Maybe a buffet would be good to load up on carbs? Not sure.

Regarding the slipper dessert. This is only known through word of mouth here on the DIS. It was seen on a Food Network show a few years ago. You can read about some of the special desserts and see pictures on the official cake thread HERE.

The slipper dessert is only available at the GF restaurants and in their guests rooms. It is also available at the CRT.

At GF it is $14 and at CRT is is $12.50.
