Special Birthday Ideas for my DD8?

My DD8 will be turning 9 on our next trip! We would like to plan a birthday meal or activity of some kind just for her. We will be traveling with friends and will register as a Grand Gathering.

I'd love some suggestions for special activities that maybe we haven't done before! (We've done CRT, Akershus, and the BBB!)

We just returned and dd turned 9 on our trip. Be sure you get her a bday pin (I had a basket sent by Betsy and she took care of getting it for me). ON her bday, she did the Alice in Wonderland Tea Party and we ate at Concourse steakhouse. I would suggest 1900 park fare on her bday for dinner. We ate there last time and it was very special. While she was gone to the Tea Party, I fixed a bday table in the room with a princess tabel cloth, confetti and some presents. I also left mousekeeping a note and requested a special towel animal of any kind for her bday. They left 3. She did BBB on her bday and they of course had the banner with bday girl on it. To end the night, she and her Daddy spent time at teh arcade while I packed and shopped. HTH. Being there was magical enough but these things added to it.

That sounds like an awesome day! I heard the 1900 Park Fare dinner was neat with the stepsisters there! I will definitely consider that one. How was their menu for dinner? We've only done breakfast there.

Who is Betsy that did a birthday basket for you?

Thanks so much for your help! I have almost 10 months to plan, but I am a planner! I want my ADR's listed and completely figured out for my 180 day mark (which is April)...

My DD turned 13 during our trip this past summer.


We did CRT for breakfast & Akershus for dinner.

After dinner, we took an Illuminations b-day cruise & I had a b-day cake delivered to the boat. There were 8 passengers on the boat & a crew of 2. Everyone sang "Happy B-day" to her....including the passengers on the boat next to us while we were stopped to view Illuminations.

That afternoon, she got her first manicure at the salon at the BC.
She loved that!!

How do I find out about the Illuminations cruise? Is there a specific name for it? We have a LARGE group going next year. I'm not sure if they'll all be there for her birthday, so the cruise may work out. I love that idea since we didn't see Illuminations last trip!

I also love the nails idea!

We were just at WDW last week and dd did a kid's pirate cruise. It was $30 for 2hrs. They basically went on a scavenger hunt for clues that built a treasure map. She LOVED it.

I'm taking her back in July for her 7th birthday and she wants to do another pirate cruise. They have them at POR, CBR and GF on varying days.
