Special Birthday Events?

For my daughters birthday (turning 4) we are taking her to CRT, for my younger son's birthday (turning 3) we will be going to either chef mickeys or character breakfast at the beach club, but what special event is there to do for my older son (turning 9)?

Pirates and Pals cruise? Getting duded up as a pirate at Pirates League and then doing the Capt. Jack Tutorial?

What is he interested in? My DS8 enjoyed pirates league, pirates and pals fireworks cruise and the kids-only pirate adventure at YC (they have them at GF, POR and CBR as well). Perhaps a meal at T-Rex or Rainforest Cafe? Or something with Star Wars - like the dessert party if it's going on during your trip? My DS8 also enjoyed Wild Africa Trek, but the smaller children wouldn't be able to do it.

Would you consider taking him on a tour of some sort? There's a few relatively inexpensive ones.
