Special AP Event 10-12 and 10-17 * Official Thread *

Has anyone heard back yet? All I got was a form mail yesterday saying the first date was sold out. I have not heard back other than that, and they have not yet posted the name list.

Have any of you gotten an email? This is the first time we will be at Disneyland during a special AP event, and it would be a bummer if we don't get to do it.

I'm still anxiously waiting, too.....

I've gone back and checked the email I sent like 10 times just to make sure I submitted everything correctly. :rolleyes1

:dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3::dance3:

The list for the 12th is up and my family is on it! I'm so excited!!!! People awaiting answers for the 17th have to wait a little longer, but it looks like everyone is making it as long as your got the email in before they posted the spots were filled :woohoo:

We are on the list!!!:cool1::cool1:

But our friends who had to send in 2 requests because they are a family of 5 only have one ressie name listed and not the other. So what now? It's not like only half their family can go and not the other half??:confused3

I guess they should call as the whole family should be able to go. Any advice? Anyone else had this happen?

I feel like I just won pubishers clearinghouse! WE ARE ON!!! I am so excited, I could absolutely burst!

HOORAY for the DIS and the wonderful people that post here!

It seems like only 4 of them can go unless one is under3, then the little one will not need a ticket.

None of the children are under 3. Why would they approve only half the family?? It doesn't make any sense. That's why I think it could be a mistake.

They aren't letting unlimitted people in. They set a limit that is greatly accomodating. It's unfortunate it does not fit a small segment of the population that your friends are in.

I'm in :) My daughter's friend is in, but some of my other friends are not on the list.

Thank you again, to the OP for putting this thread up. :)

I re-read the directions, and it looks like they recommended putting in more than one RSVP for larger parties, but they didn't guarantee that if one got in the other would, too.

They really should have had each rsvp be worth your whole immediate family (ones that hold AP's of course). So that families of 5, 6 or more would be all able to attend.

Basically for my friend's family only 4 of the 5 would be able to go. So just one stays behind at the hotel?????:confused3 That just bad taste when it comes to Disney being a family destination.

Try to match them up with others who are going and have extra slots? I assume there are more than few here (myself included) who could help, depending on which date they're going...

Our family didn't get in (family of 5, sent two RSVPs). Guess we'll have to find something else to do that night since both parks close by 8pm. :(

Congrats to all who made it in!!!!:goodvibes

:sad1: DH and I also did not get in. Bummed but not surprised since we'll be picking up our new passes on Monday so I didn't have a current number to give them. Just sad because it's the first time we ever could have taken advantage of a special passholder event since they often are on a short notice. Oh well.

That does totally stink, but it was in the "rules" and the RSVP didn't ask for # of guests, so I guess they figured if you didn't fit into the party size rules you wouldn't go for it?

As far as being family friendly, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. :(

I might have two extra spots for the 12th. I would like to give them to two passholders that will be on vacation and don't normally get to go to these events. Send me a message if your interested will know soon if I have two extras or not.

Just sent you a PM!

I'm in! Bf and I are going, so I technically have two other spots to get people in if they need it. PM me
