Special activities at WDW?

We are considering going to WDW in June, and we would be there during our oldest daughter's bday. She would be 15, though she passed away a few years ago.

We are hoping a little more will be opened by then, and we would like to do something special to celebrate her. We will have our other two kids, ages 11 and 4.

What are some special activities, besides a nice meal? I have come up with a fireworks cruise or a dinner show like HDDR, but I know those aren't operating.

Any other options I don't know about? What about tours at Animal Kingdom? Can kids do those? Are they even operating?

I would love any recommendations for what's currently open or predictions about what might be open. Any park or resort. Thanks!

Here are a couple of thoughts:
1. Hot air balloon at Disney Springs
2. Carriage ride at Fort Wilderness Campgrounds (I think those are up and running now).
3. Pontoon ride around one of the lakes.

I haven’t been post-Covid, so I don’t have anything to add. I just wanted to say I’m very sorry for your loss but I love ❤️ that you still celebrate her birthday. What a wonderful way to remember her.

I love these suggestions! Thanks so much.

It's great to hear how you're planning to celebrate your daughter's life :) Hope you find something awesome!

$55 per Person (tax not included) and many time slots per day

^Says all ages. Might be worth taking a look if it interests you.

This is still open too (below). It's the Segway tour but I think it's only open for adults.

If you’ve never ridden a Segway before, you’re in for a treat! Maneuverable, fast, quiet and fun to ride, the X2 is an all-terrain vehicle that can be mastered in minutes. And what better way to do it than with a beautiful backdrop of Florida countryside!

I don’t believe boat rentals are opened yet either. We just tried a month ago and they were still closed. They need less lake patrols if people aren’t renting boats.

I’ve also been looking for a special tour or outing, and saw that the segue tours are currently running at Fort Wilderness: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/e...rness-resort/wilderness-back-trail-adventure/

Horseback riding trail ride at Fort Wilderness is also available: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/recreation/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/horse-trail-rides/

The amphicars are running in Disney Springs https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/disney-springs/boathouse-cruises/

And I think the higher end private VIP tour is still offered: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/private-vip-tours/

That’s all I could find... however, the’ll probably be bringing some things back in the spring (hopefully!).

Peace and comfort to you all as you celebrate and remember your daughter. 💞

I see on Disney’s website that the boat rentals aren’t going right now. We were there last week and saw a few pontoons out on different occasions. I wonder how those people got them? Maybe they knew someone that knew someone! 😂😂😂
