Someone told me there is a special parking area for AAA members at each of the parks that is located very close to the park entrances.
Frist of all, is this true?
Then, if it is, how does it work?

When I bought my theme park passes at AAA I received a coupon to park in the AAA "Diamond" lot. It had a lot of blackout days, and it was only good once.

I'm sorry that I don't have more info. Since we stayed on property, we didn't use it.

You have to purchase a Disney package from AAA to get the pass (it's not just open to all AAA members). I have heard of some people getting the pass by just purchasing tickets at AAA, though. I've never actually gotten to park in the lot, but be aware it's only at the MK. I think at the other parks, you get priority to park at the end of the aisle near the tram stops, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Epcot has AAA parking also, it is in the same area as the RV parking.

I live in central Florida and belong to AAA and everytime I go I just ask, "Do you still have AAA parking?" and they just tell me where it is; no pass required.

I was just asking them about this the other day. They said that as long as you order at least 1 pass with them, you get the card that lets you use the diamond lot (the one close to the park). There are certain blackout days (like major holidays, etc..) and it's always subject to availability, but there is no expiry date, so you could keep using it forever.
