Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued

I can tell from your tagline pic you have a tux on. You do get fancy!:worship: But that was probably for a 7 day or longer cruise.

So kids could probably get away with shorts at dinner for the regular casual dinner nights? I guess sneakers wouldn't cut it though, how about a pair of black Disney Crocs?

That pic was from a 14 night PC Crossing... DH rented the tux! :rotfl2: Believe me, if you saw another pic of us you'd see DH in a fun hat so casual you'd laugh. Joe is the KING of t-shirts and ball caps! :thumbsup2

Not to worry... Kids can wear shorts and crocs or sneakers anytime!!! :wizard: Adults too... except no shorts in Palo's.

I am with you. The pants only get worn at dinner. And I found that sometimes the dining rooms can be a little chilly anyway. I am not comfortable with shorts at dinner. Younger kids, is fine, but dressier docker type shorts not cut offs, ya know? I don't mind the dressing for dinner.

I got a couple of travel type dresses that don't wrinkle. Love those things!!

They did let us in to Palo's on the last night of the Mexican Rivera cruise with collared shirts - no ties or jackets - and of course, slacks not shorts! Do not know if this is their new dress code, or they were just being lenient because we had to have everything packed before dinner.

Scott does not wear shorts to dinner, casual slacks like dockers are the norm. I do not think anyone looks at anyone's shoes very closely - I have seen tennis shoes on kids and crocs on adults!

For us, tropical night is an Hawaiian shirt and slacks for Scott, and Hawaiian shirt and capris or sun dress (and sweater) for me.

I have missed a lot of wishes. pixiedust: to those recovering and celebrating.

My family went to the Crawfish Festival in Long Beach on Sunday. At 4:00 pm we headed to the port and followed the Magic out to sea. I had chills when I heard the horn (it has been since May 2005 for me and January 2003 for the rest of the family). We heard the sail away party music and the cruise director too. Of course DH mentioned how great it would be to have a verandah  and he thinks he will be able to upgrade at the port (although he knows I have been trying for weeks and the ship is sold out).

DD is trying out for the High School Volleyball team next week and if she makes it, she will have to decide between the team and the cruise. We just found out the coach will cut any girl who misses practice.

DS just decided that he wants a big party for his 17th birthday. And his birthday just happens to be the day before we leave for the cruise. It was so much easier to go to Chuck E Cheese or Dave and Busters and have them do all the work.

I have the next 3 days off so I am going to do some cruise packing, shopping and packaging. Have a great week everyone.

Where do you find the no wrinkle things? How I hate to iron!!!

I think Travel Smith has a catalog...

I just played my newly downloaded Disney Ship Horn ringtone at work for my old boss! Too Funny!

It was so quiet... you could hear it throughout the floor! :rotfl2:

I have since turned off my phone while at work! :thumbsup2

I AM SOOO READY FOR THIS CRUISE!!!

:tink:

When there's a smile in your heart
There's no better time to start
Think of all the joy you'll find
When you leave the world behind
And bid your cares good-bye
You can fly! You can fly! You can fly!

Thanks to everyone who has helped keep up with and track of everything going on with this cruise! We'd be a disorganized bunch without you! You are very much appreciated. :worship:

I can't wait to meet everyone!

When we leave the ship in Nassau to go to the Atlantis, what form of ID do we need to get back on the ship? Do we have to take our passports with us?

UPS just dropped them off!:yay:

I haven't even looked through them. As soon as I saw what they were I knew I had to post it!

Now to start reading.....

woo hoo....as I was driving in the driveway from work....the FedEx man followed me with my cruise documents in his hands!!!!

Not much to read but 16 luggage tags?

The info DID remind me to book the kennel (forgot about that) for our furry one.

Still working on the FE gifts....about 30 to go....
