Yeah, we cheated... once every 20 years or so I go to "that other park"
Hey.. you KNOW I was supposed to be on that TA Cruise... I can't help it my daughter decided to get married the day it left. Now I have that handsome grandson to show for it.

Um, holy cow, am I reading the roster for this cruise right???
Are there 100s of Disers going on board? How in the world will the fish extender work on this type of scale? We had like, 6 rooms to visit last time.

Wow, six rooms. You have had it easy. The rooms I have ever visited is 70 something. All the rest have been around 100, give or take.

Works the same way, people drop gifts in your fish extender when ever they have time/feel like it through out the cruise. When there are a lot of people on the ship, it is like Christmas every few hours, lol.

And also sometimes people go in together on the gifts - like with the lanyards, a bunch of people are chipping in for this and as a result some of them won't give FE gifts because they are giving the lanyards. We've had people get together and give whiteboards with a cruise logo on it. And we've had pirate tattoos, candy, pencils, all kinds of little things.

Hey, Finally08, saw your problem regarding booking your character meal on the Theme Park boards...I'll be back in Orlando on the 6th...I'll eat with you!

But don't be surprised if I am just "too tired" to make it, and you have to cancel my ressie when you check in for your meal!

I think that is shameful how they treated you! I agree with the others, call back and talk to another CM, and make your ressie for "four".

We are a family of 3 also, but it's been a while since we have done a real vacation there. We are going in December for a week, but we are planning to take a friend with us, so we will have 4 people. Better believe that if the friend doesn't make it after all, we WILL be 3 people eating at a table for 4, and they better not give us any lip about it!

Tracy has a great idea about going in with other people! We have had some great fish extender gifts in the past from people doing this. But we love the little stuff too - the candy, tattoos, pencils, etc.

It was still really nice...it was only a 3 day cruise. So the last night I don't think anyone did them, it was just the first 2. And we each had our own day (mine was the 2nd). So the kids still had TONS of stuff - maybe because we were a smaller group we went "all out" more. I know one visit from one giver and our extender was FULL and we would dump it and a half hour later it was full again.

Ohh and since most everyone here seems like repeat cruisers, I need to ask a noob question. I have only cruised once...on the 3 day Wonder. I think I just realized this time I'll be on the Magic - hey that's cool! I know they are basically the same ship, but are there any differences at all?


I noticed on the Wonder that a lot of stuff looked sort of run down, and our room wasn't clean at all. Should we expect pretty much the same on the Magic? Obviously the dirt didn't bug me, I'm coming back anyway.

Wow! We've never had an issue with a room that wasn't clean. We've had a steward that wasn't too attentive, but our room was always clean.

Maybe I am just cursed with back luck, lol. We had issues with things like surfaces being "sticky" (and I don't like to think what it could be), and the bathroom was just grungy in general..the tiles were grungy, there was hair stuck to some of it. Bleck.
Oh yeah, we had sewage back up into our bathroom on formal night as I was trying to get ready...the drain in the floor just started overflowing with foul water and we had to have it fixed and cleaned.
