:welcome: to all the new cruisers!

Lesley - glad that you will be able to make it after all!

I spent Fathers day at my sisters pool listening to Buffet on Sirius trying to convince her to join us this September as she and hubby are huge JB fans! I told her about this board and that they would fit right in! She is thinking it over......

We booked rooms at Comfort Suites in Nassau and plan to spend the day at Altlantis but my parents want to do some shopping and maybe lunch on their own that day. Will they be able to take a cab and is that safe? How far is it to walk? Disney does not seem to offer an excursion for just shopping. Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!

A lot of the Shopping, is located on Bay Street, right at the end of the pier.

Cabs will be plentiful as you get off the ship.

Not sure what I need to do to get on the list but here is our info.
Linda & Ted w/DD 6 (turning 7 during cruise). Cabin #5133.

Thanks, Linda

Your folks will have no trouble walking. Tell them to try Conch Fritters for lunch. It is easy walk, near all the shopping (also and easy walk from port).
They can ask anyone for directions. It was recommended to us by our taxi guide when we were there.

Do you need a pirate hat!

HI everyone..with luggage requirements they way they are, I know a lot of people are cutting back on what they take this time around.

I was at Target today, and they have the coolest, very light weight pirate hats 2 for $1 in their dollar section. Hope this helps someone!

Okay okay okay now everybody settle down! :stir:I don't want the ATF agents storming my room on the ship ... or the DCL police for that matter, or any thirsty cruisers banging on the door after Beat Street closes..... :rotfl2:

The "steerage bar" is not a REAL bar and no libations are for sale!!!!! We just all joke about it because I usually have a generous supply that I bring on board for personal consumption.... :lmao: :drinking1

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Attention DCL......I was only kidding about Leslie making some extra money on board....but she does make a mean drink....afterall Leslie is DCL Mixology 101 certified!!!!!

Darn...we were at Target on Saturday and there were so many people in the dollar section when we arrived that we "skipped" it....oh well...I guess we'll just have to bring our Pirate Mickey headbands with us.

BTW....I know we kinda "veto'd" formal night and made it Tropical Night instead...what about pirate night? Is anyone bringing their pirate costumes with them???

And boy was it fun getting our certificates!

Not us. No formals, no pirate wear. We have t-shirts for pirate night, that's as good as it gets.

Are their new luggage requirements?

Oh btw - new here in this thread. Just about to push the button to book this cruise. ;)

Thanks! Do we need to take a cab or the water taxi to get to Comfort Suites. We have a group of 13 so would it be best to reserve ahead of time?

just hop into a couple of cabs at the dock they are plentiful.

it is a bit of a walk from the water taxi dock!!!

Great! Sounds easy! Hey Webray, my Dad wants to know if Conch Fritters has an ocean view?

Not so much requirements as all the charging for 2nd and third bags. American charges for the first. So it all depends on who you are flying.

Our taxi guide also told us..take a cab if heading over to Atlantis way, avoid the water taxi's, lol.

It is a block away from the ocean, across street, second floor, great people watching spot. Big open air place, shutters all open, no windows.

Senor Frogs is on the ocean.

Now there is a resort in front of Conch Fritters, which is on the ocean,
there could be a restaurant in there you may enjoy.

Hey Elaine,

As I was listening to my JB cd's today, while cleaning, yuck, lol :rotfl2: .
I was thinking, shouldn't you be promoted to Jr. parrothead, since you made the "official" walmart cd announcement, lol.

What do you think, Bob, Scott, Leslie, is she ready!:cool1:
