Hey Peter

Question on the Roster for this cruise... the link goes back to a prior post in February. Is there a link we can use to see the most recent roster list?

Thanks!
Georgie

Georgie,

I believe Peter updates the older post rather than reposting and updating a new one. It's easier to locate the post to edit that way.

oh yeah and I just got a job with Disney today - I am going to work in the reservation call center here in Tampa....

tasha

congrats on the job!

Just wondering-what part of Tampa? I'll be looking for something when my girls go back to school in the fall. Disney reservations sounds fun (I can live vicariously through those on the phone) but not sure if the drive from Clearwater makes it worthwhile.

Good Morning Cruisers!! :wizard:
Just a thought on FE gifts.... I know for me.. snacks are always welcome popcorn:: We can enjoy them onboard and not have to worry about carrying them home... :thumbsup2 In the past there have been M&M's, life savers, tic-tacs etc. The bulk packs of Halloween stuff should be out by the time we cruise, so that's a thought. In fact they'll probably start putting out the Halloween stuff right after the 4th of July... :lmao:

That's great to know. Thanks Tracy. :thumbsup2 I'm making my own list in a spread sheet so I can sort it accordingly.

Thanks Lynn & Scott. I'll be doing an internet search tonight after the kiddies go to bed. Will there be a list of all FE participants?

I do not think we are doing a specific list for this cruise, check Peters informational post. We will be using the basic list of all cruisers.

I am so sad because I just found out that my vacation approval was revoked. We merged with another department and the new boss won't approve the time off. In my 16+ months here, I have only been able to take 2 days of vacation.

I am not cancelling until the final payment day because I am hoping for some kind of miracle.

Lesley, we will miss you if your miracle does not happen!

Hi - I just want to introduce myself. Me, my DH, Sister, BIL, mom and dad will be joining you on this trip. We are on the East bound repo and will be staying on the ship! I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread!

Penny

Welcome to the thread!

Has anyone who had a GTY room found out your room number yet? I know I shouldn't worry but I just really want to know....

oh yeah and I just got a job with Disney today - I am going to work in the reservation call center here in Tampa.... i know it sounds goofy that I am all excited about getting up to work over the summer - but it just seems really exciting... they were worried about offering me a job because I have a master's degree and were afraid I would get bored - but I guess I convinced my zany addiction to Disney would be a plus...

tasha

Congrats on the job!!! Some folks found out their room number after the final payment due date.

Is anyone else signed up to run the Disney World 2009 Marathon? Or does anyone want to run together while on the cruise? Doesn't really sound like a true vacation, does it? I would ratherpopcorn:: or:happytv:

You will probably see both Scott and I running or walking on deck 4 early in the morning (Scott usually earlier than I, and he will be the one running, while I will be the one walking!!!) But, as it is right after the DL 1/2 marathon, we might be taking the first day or 2 off all together.

...
congrats on the job!

hey the reservation office is by 75 and fletcher - don't know how that would be from tampa - kinda a drive= but it has some good perks...

living vicariously is exactly what i thought of - can't wait to book a GF suite or something.... i can dream...

i have my orientation next saturday the 21 - i'll get some info and send you a little referral thing about how to kinda skip some of the hoops or something

So we shoud figure about 125 people for FE gifts. That should be fun!:teeth:

Tracy is correct !!!

I edit that post !
If there is a Star before the dis name they have been confirmed to be cruising..

Still waiting for some more responses... from the PM sent out and the post earlier this AM.

There are about 324 cruisers on the roster Rough count!
So we shoud figure about 125 people for FE gifts. That should be fun!:teeth:
Only if you want to maybe some folks cant afford that many! :goodvibes
DVCNEWGIRL You are correct !
Virginia / ulittletinker Is working on the spreadsheet that will give you deck location, cabin number and dis Name, Maybe more I am not sure!
It does not get any easier than that!
 This list will help you to give out FE gifts!

sit back and relax, ahhhhh
That's great to know. Thanks Tracy. :thumbsup2 I'm making my own list in a spread sheet so I can sort it accordingly.

Virginia Help Me here!!!! LOL

Peter

Wow I just looked at the roster and it looks like 20 names have dropped off the list in the past 2 weeks.

I feel so bad for all of those who had to cancel. :sad1:

yeah-maybe too much of a drive. Depending on the time of day it could be an hour or more-then add in the price of gas! :scared1:

I'd still like the scoop on it after orientation-please let me know-thanks!

If there is a Star before the dis name they have been confirmed to be cruising..

Woo Hoo....I have a star beside my name!!!! (sorry small things just make me happy...especially after the day I had at work today!!!)

Next: As proprietor of the "steerage bar" I will gladly accept any and all vintage libations that are cluttering up your cabinets.... :thumbsup2 :drinking1 I may have to get a bigger travel blender.... hmmm....:rolleyes1 Think they would allow an FCM on board???

Second,,,, Disneypindiva Leslie...
Is telling the truth about the travel blender, she can make a mean frozen drink!
beats the cost of some of drinks on board ... LOL

If you see her on deck 2 maybe she will whip up something for ya!
LOL

ah yes...the steerage bar....as the "sister" of the proprietor I can definitely attest to Leslie whipping up some mean drinks....margaritas, strawberry dacquris, cosmos, rum & diet coke and her prices were a lot cheaper than the ships!!!!! :lmao: Hey Leslie....look a way to make some extra money!!!!!

For get who posted it but any and all beverages that can be brought onboard, just be careful with the glass!

one night we had a bottle of Rosa regale, and Cheryl got us kewl pirate mugs, we opened the bottle while waiting inline for the dining room... brought them in with us.. well Jenn had been carrying the bottle around with us, need less to say there was a slight spray of the crowd LOL

Peter

That Rosa sure was good.....even if some of it "christened" the carpet!!!! Just think....we left our "mark" on the Wonder!!!!

Today I have been looking through the Passporter book. I wish I knew where I am gonna be on the ship.
Also my dd and I went an found a few FE gifts (dollar store), pretty fun.
I am super excited.:cool1:

Hey Scott....

Thanks for the update Peter!

324 rough count! WOW! DOUBLE WOW!!!

This will really be something... the term "Oh you must be one of those Lanyard People" will really ake on a whole new meaning!:rotfl2:

Hey! Did everyone see there's going to be a 3 day cruise on the Magic in the end of September... right after she gets out of dry dock. Would be very tempting if we weren't already going on this cruise!

September 24, 2008 - Newly Announced, 3-Night Sailing of the Disney Magic

Disney Cruise Line® is celebrating the Disney Magic®'s early exit from a planned September dry dock with today's addition of a special, three-night sailing to begin on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. The previously scheduled, 3-week dry dock has been shortened by 3 days, thus allowing for the new sailing. Several things make this sailing attractive.

Freshly Dried Magic

Repeat cruisers know that there is no better time to enjoy a cruise ship than right after a dry dock. As a result, one of the most popular sailings of 2008 has been the September 27 sailing of the Disney Magic, originally scheduled to be the first sailing of the newly spiffed-up ship. But now you can beat those folks to the gun and gain bragging rights by signing on to the special, 3-night sailing announced today! Be the first to experience the enhancements and refurbishments that will result from the Disney Magic's longest dry dock ever! During the last dry dock a Jumbotron and a miniature water park were added to the Disney Magic. Who knows what they will add this time!

A "Charming" 3-Night Cruise
It has been years since the Disney Magic has done a 3-night itinerary, so this is really a rare opportunity. The September 24, 2008 itinerary will include a special performance of the musical "Twice Charmed," an original production developed exclusively for Disney Cruise Line's 7-night sailings. So take advantage of your chance to see this twist on the Cinderella story that at present can only be seen on the Disney Magic. "The Golden Mickeys" and "Disney Dreams" will also be performed.

Hmmmm. Sounds tempting.

Newsflash Scott, ya missed it. Yep, We're Still Here

The following folks have not responded to the PM I sent , and or I was not able to PM you.

However I would love some more info on you.
1 Are you still going ?

2 names of ALL in traveling party!

3 dining early or late ?

Cabin Number

Thanks

Those not heard from wil remain on the roster but in a special section on the bottom that will say these folks may also be on the cruise! ;)
Would love to see eveyone get some special gifts from other cruisers :3dglasses
