Hi,

We're new to the 9/1/08 cruise. We prebooked last August for 8/08. I just read about the 9/1 a month ago and was sort of waitlisted.

It'll be myself, DH and ds7 (then 8). This will be our 5th cruise, but our first double dip. I have absolutely no info at all other than that.

Is there a pirate night? Formal night?

Colleen

Welcome aboard!!!

Colleen, would you supply us with the rest of the names of your traveling party?
We need them for the lanyards!

Peter

I just was wondering were you got a good airfare for Indy to Orlando? I'm looking for my parents.

Thanks!
Lisa

Did the air thru DCL for several reasons.
I sent a p.m.

I am assuming the GOIU is not for Go Iowa.:sad2:

Quick question: I saw on the list that we have a formal night. Is that definite?

Thanks!
Lisa

For some people TROPICAL is FORMAL!
......
Now, what is Disny'e idea of Formal--blck tie formal or just a suit formal?

O.k., this is the cruise formal...

and this is my idea for the replacement/Tropical night....

Actually, I enjoy dressing up or down for dinner.
Just as long as I get to eat.:lmao:

Welcome to all the new cruisers.
Looks like we are going to have a large crowd for the sail away.

Wow. 120 days to go. Just 4 months. KEWL.

Congrats Lynn and Scott.
Wonderful job on the 1/2.

Elaine, how's the patient doing?
Did the new laptop ever make it across the border?

Here we had a good weekend.
Spent the day with the grandkids saturday.
Went to see "Road Trip". The kids liked the pig.
I wanted to see "Horton".
Went to TGIFridays afterwards.
I wanted to go to IHOP and have Green Eggs and Ham.
Oh Well.

Finally got a trip report from my brother on his trip to Disney with his grandkids.
He said everything was great. Except.
Seems as though there was this strange, almost evil green glow off in the distance northeast of the castle during the fireworks.:lmao:

Elaine Happy B-Day ENJOY !!!!!!

Bob very good compaison of Formal v, Tropical LOL Either way we look GOOD!!!!!

Green Glow Northeast of teh Castle ????? lets see Oh I know LOL

I just called today and booked for this cruise! I had asked why so many new rooms and the Cast Member said a combination of cancellations and a release of more rooms. Lucky us!

Our first cruise ever!

Welcome aboard!

Anyone know why they opened up staterooms on our cruise? Looks like Cat 11, 10, 6, 5, and 4. Seems like that would be a lot of cancellations? Maybe a group or TA cancelled a block of rooms?

Thanks for posting about the cancellations, my sister and her family are hoping to be able to book this cruise, I will tell her to call ASAP.

Here I thought at least one of the new ships would be based in California... :confused3

I guess the inaugural launches will be from Florida?

I was hoping so too, and hoping for Alaska summers. Every time we cruise on DCL we put in our survey about Alaskan cruises. I keep hoping:)

Hi Bob

The patient seems to be doing better each day but she is still in a lot of pain. Of course, right now we make quite a pair as it seems I picked up a "bug" of some sort in the hospital and spent most of the weekend in bed sicker than a dog only getting up to make Mom's meals.

The new laptop is really KEWL....I love Microsoft's One Note program....it is the KEWLEST thing!!!!!

So it looks like we might not be able to go on this cruise after all. We booked this cruise using a cash deposit so we could then transfer it using our DVC points. It turns out the cruise went into guaranteed status so now since we don't have an actual stateroom we cannot use our points.

I would love to just pay cash for it but my boyfriend doesn't want too.

Does anyone know if it's likely they will ever open up staterooms?

Why don't you rent your points and use the cash to pay for the cruise? It is unlikely that room numbers will be assigned with bookings again. You might get lucky and get a room assignment before the final payment is due.

We saw Road trip too this weekend and really liked it. Donny Osmond was hilarious as was Martin.
I recognized Donny Osmand and Martin Lawrence.
The kids had to point out the girls from the different Disney Channel shows.
Raven-Symoné & Brenda Song.
It was good. As I said before, I think they liked the pig most of all.

"Horton" is good. Thanks Peter.

Now I need to get to IHOP to get my Green Eggs and Ham.:goodvibes
