Hi Elaine and Margaret: I had a chuckle when I read YOUR post because I was unaware that the "other Rob and Amber" were even going to have a baby!!
That is too funny!

It sounds like all is going well with your shopping and replacing what you lost in your "flood." We ended up having to toss everything also. Every time it pours I keep my fingers crossed now. I hope you escaped the tornadoes they had in the Ontario area on Thursday night - very wild weather to say the least.

We live about an hour away from where the tornados were....we got some wind and some torrential rains but the basement is still dry...a little smelly from the disinfectant they used to kill and stop the growth of mold. I never in my wildest dreams could have imagined that water can be so destructive. I feel so sorry for the people that did not have insurance and are trying to clean up themselves....

Well one of the "B's" is back at college now it's back to the day to day and waiting for Dec 24 and Christmas at the world. Anyone else there????

Good Morning folks!

Elaine - sounds like you are having fun shopping! Glad you had insurance to cover the cost of it all!

The knee has been up and down, it really hurt after physical therapy, and I learned that the knee was numbed in surgery, and it took 24 - 48 hours for that to wear off - that is why the knee did not hurt at all until after PT! I had one bad day - on a different pain killer for the whole day and night - got no sleep Friday night - but now it does not hurt too much during the day, taking stronger pain killers at night, and just a couple during the day. I have been good about doing the exercises given to me by the PT. I go back again tomorrow for more torture. We are currently working on range of motion, and mild strength exercises. The strength exercises are pretty easy, but the range of motion ones really hurt. He said no heavy walking for at least 4 weeks - so the Disneyland 1/2 is out, he is reserving judgement on the 5K until later.

Scott and I spent the whole day yesterday doing our pre cruise travel planning for the Baltic cruise next summer. It took the whole day, but we are now pretty organized on the pre-cruise travel! It was too hot to go outside yesterday anyway!

Hope everyone has had a good week....Mom and I have been super busy....the frig and freezer arrived today along with the cable guy who upgraded our service to digital and put in some new cable lines where the new wall unit will go. Also found out today that the washer and dryer and furnace need to replaced....looks like we'll be back shopping this weekend....we have decided to wait until we return from WDW at the end of September to start re-construction of our basement.....this way we will be here if there are any problems.

The one great bonus out of all this "mess" is that that contractor is going to buy all my Dad's tools!!! This is my Mom and I We're thinking another trip to WDW might be on the horizon!!!!!!!

Mom and I were out shopping again today.....bought a frig, freezer, office chair and some accessories....I *almost* bought a 52" plasma tv....but decided to wait until the basement is finished and the new wall unit is in before we get the new TV.

You'll never regret it Kid.

The first movie I watched on it was Finding Nemo. Was quite an improvement.

We went with the Panasonic TV, 52" in the theater room and 48" upstairs, Blue Ray in the theater, either way a HD TV does make a difference. Now if Jimmy woudl just video broadcast the concerts....

We have a 47 inch LCD. Great picture. Watched the AVP tournament from Chicago today - great picture in HD. Matt finished 3rd, so he wasn't in the broadcast - but it was still good.

Got in 53 miles today. It's Africa hot here. Well maybe not Africa hot, but very hot for around here. I'm glad I got it done early.

Bob - I would never be able to chase Scott down, remember, he is a runner and I am a walker! Some day I will be able to walk again! Right now I am hobbling!

Foggy and cool here again this morning. It never did clear up yesterday, it is supposed to clear up today and just have a chance of afternoon showers. I am not ready for summer to be gone!
