Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

Happy 4th, everyone!!! And belated Happy Canada Day, Elaine and Margaret!!

Happy 4th!

Had to go through foot deep water in the grocery store parking lot today...heavy rains, all to get Bob some ginger beer so he could have dark and stormys this afternoon. Fireworks going off now all around us!

Take care everyone!

After reading this morning all about Scott's runs and all the ones he has planned has forced me to become accountable to myself and to finally try to get my weight in check....so I hooked up my Wii Fit tonight.

My Wii Fit weight and BMI were not a surprise to me...but what was a surprsie to me was that my Wii Fit age was 69 :scared1:....that's 29 years older than I am.

So today is day 1 of the new me...I worked out for 35 minutes doing the table tilt balance game, a couple step classes, the tight rope walk (made it across ), did a short run (met Ken, Shari, Leslie & Joe along the way :wave2:) and failed miserably at ski jump...I guess I just haven't mastered the take off yet. I'm outta breath but I know each day will get easier.

I set a small goal of losing 5 lbs in a month and then realized in a month we'll be at WDW....I guess this will force me to be good in my food selections.

If anyone wants to join me on my journey...feel free....I can use all the support on my journey to the new me...or is that the new Mii (LOL)!!!!!!

Happy Fifth of July Everbody.:goodvibes
I hope that yesterday was a bang up day.:lmao:
Here, the weather did not cooperate. Drizzled all day.
We did have neighborhood fireworks last night. That was fun. Saw the ones on PBS too.
Our menu consisted of burgers, corn on the cobb and strawberries & poundcake.

Oh Cheryl, that was so good of ya.

Seeing all the fireworks last night reminds be of some of my favorites....

These were from the MedRepo a couple years ago.

Everybody have a great day. Off to park for us.

Hope everyone had a great 4th! We watched fireworks on TV - 4th at the Capitol, then watched private fireworks displays from our back yard - you could see fireworks in all directions from our house! It rained all evening, just stopping a bit for fireworks.

Have a great day all!

Good Morning everyone

Just heard on our local news (all the way up here in Canada) about a tragic accident at WDW last night involving 2 monorails. Apparently they crashed at the T&TC and one of the drivers died. Here is a link to the story.

I had not heard about this. Thank you for posting this Elaine. How very sad. My prayers to the families.

So today is day 1 of the new me...I

Elaine... One day at a time... make the journey your own. That's what will make it special.:wizard:

We'll be here for day 2... day 3...

:cheer2: You Go Girl :cheer2:

Elaine - how is the exercise program going? The dogs and I got out for a 3 mile walk this morning, will do some weights this afternoon, still trying to make knee stop hurting!

Have a great day all!

Lynn...things were going great but today I "accidently" scratched my eye...it's really sore right now and I don't want to chance getting sweat in it so I decided to take today as my day of rest!!

okay...since Leslie told me that the Wii knows if you miss a day and comments about it... I decided to do just 30 minutes...I did table tilt (loving it), a couple step classes, tried the ski jump again...still can't figure it out...and gave ski slalom a try (:rotfl2:). I was surprised when I did the body test to find out that in just 3 days I have lost 1.8 lbs :banana::banana:

Mom even got into the Wii fit and she is actually in a normal weight range and her Wii Fit age is her age....now to see if she tries any of the games...

Wii Fit - Day 4

I am LOVING my Wii Fit!!!! I highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about it.

On Saturday my Wii Fit age was 69 and after eating right and working out for 4 days for between 30 - 45 minutes a day doing step classes, running and balance games I have lost 4 lbs and I have lowered my Wii Fit age to 28!!!! That's a drop of 41 years in just 4 days!!!!!

I can't believe how much fun Wii makes working out....of course I still haven't figured out the ski jump...I end up in a snowball each time....oh well...I am getting better at the ski slalom.

Elaine - congrats, you are doing great! We have played on the WII fit a bit, but I sure do not get on it every day!

Have a great day all!

Good evening All!
Happy Hump Day.:goodvibes

Had a couple of just gorgeous days this week. Nice to be out.
Today it was kinda gloomy. Rain later this evening.

Hope everybody survived the cookouts, fireworks, ect.

Elaine, hang in there with the training.

We know you can do it. Just don't give up.

Love the Wii. Just haven't been on it for a while.
I like the SkiJump too. My best is 213 meters. At least I'm not "unbalanced" anymore.:lmao:
I need to do more of the activities for sure, but just love the weather outside in the summer.

Everybody have a good week.

Good Morning Folks!

Today is cooler and cloudy, looks like it might rain any minute although no rain was in the forecast for today!

Bob - congrats on graduating from "unbalanced", I think I am still "unbalanced":lmao:

Keep up the good work Elaine!

Have a great day all!

Good Morning Everyone from the great wet north.
Sitting here trying to dry as Belle would not go out by herself to do her business.:sad2:
It should dry out later.

Scott. Oh Scott.

Elaine. You've be AWOL too. I know, you've been WiiBit.:goodvibes

Georgie, there's still time for that PT Cruiser. I read a rumor that Chrysler may sell the tooling for them, so they may be available after December of 2010.
Saw a champagne colored one last evening. Sharp:thumbsup2:

Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Finally home, got back yesterday and went into the office to get some admin stuff done. I had messed up some travel for next month so get that together. Got home pups were happy to see me and had a hot dog for dinner. Watched the tour DVR, nice to skip commercials .

Up early to watch the tour, not sure what the day will bring.
