Well, the majority of our clothes are out of the closet and sitting on the dryer waiting to be packed in our suitcases later this week. After lunch today, Hazel started pulling my clothes out of the closet asking what I wanted to take. I have a feeling we are going to need one large suitcase and then each have a carry-on bag as well, oh, and a garment bag too.......

My clothes are laying on my bed in a neat little pile just dying to get into the suit case!!! I am packing light with a few repeats in there! I am surprised how small that pile looks. We had our plannng discussion with Ryan and Kelly while lounging at the pool this afternoon. I kept thinking I was going to forget to tell them something so now I can relax about that.

I would love to watch the Magic cross the canal tomorrow. Maybe I can tune in once and a while to see if I can see it. It is fun to follow it home. This will be our first time on that ship and the longest cruise so far for us. We are working our way up to a 7 day.

OK, I've been meaning to ask: what's the duct tape for? I've dutifully packed it, but other than maybe taping a box shut if I get carried away with shopping, I'm coming up blank.

I will never travel with out duck tape, I have hemmed tux pants, fixed a tent pole at 20,000 ft on Mt McKinley (Denali), fixed a dive fin or two, dive mask, to mention a few uses, just a good all around quick fix. Zip ties are handy for securing stuff.

Handy to have when you wake up dry beneath the African Sky with just your Swiss Army knife.

Just got a text message from Laura...Eeyorelvr10....she said they will be picking up the boat pilot at 6:30 and supposed to be thru 1st lock around 8:45....approximately. She also said Bridge of Americas approx. 7am....Would that be in the correct order? Bridge of Americas then the 1st lock?

Also I am guessing they are still on Central time tomorrow. Seems like that is what it was in May.

She was going to get her hair done so when I get more info I will post it. Cant wait to see them coming back thru.

8/31/2008 the Radisson meet - 7:30 Pm - Poolside @ the Rad - Lanyards to handed out at this event, Come meet your fellow cruisers..... Also a special appearance by Verandah Man.... LOL

Lindababe and I have been "talking" and we're getting takeout from the Pita Palace so we can have a dinner meet. I'll make sure to have a menu and will do a dinner run for anyone who hasn't eaten by the time we meet up at 7:30-does that sound OK with everyone?

DH thinks it's funny that you're reminding me not to miss a JB concert!

Think I'm gonna' have to miss this one. The Olympics closing ceremony is on and that comes once every 4 years. Seems to me that JB concerts are constantly around!
