Special 9/1/08 Cruise Continued - Part 3

wind

but when I was on the Wonder in Dec, I was quite impressed with the stabilizers. Didn't feel that deep of rocking at all.

No worries, you'll be having so much fun, you won't even notice

Either would be fine with us. Last time we drove to Publix and got sandwiches and ate them in the room. Anything would be an improvement.

We love Greek food. Our favorite diner around here is owned by a Greek family and it's hard to find anything other than Greek items on the menu.

FishLips is a great name for a restaurant!

Dinner doesn't have to be early. We could easily wait until later and potentially have some of the late arrivals join in. If we had a larger group would either place require a reservation (holiday weekend) or is it fairly quick seating?

Come on Radisson people, come and join us. I've got the first round!

I don't think Fish Lips takes reservations - and yes, it does get crowded. Pita Palace is run by Lebanese (I think) but it's definitely 'greek' food - they only have 6 tables, though so we better not bring TOO big of a crowd,

thanks so much! I'm glad we didn't have to cancel. Ok stupid question. What causes big waves? Rain or wind? I'm so scared of the boat rocking LOL

Oh a science bonus question, I can actually use my masters LOL

Waves are caused by three factors, Tides, Wind and earthquakes. I know thanks Mr Wizzard, giving Bill Nye a run for his money. LOL

Plastic bags and or rain gear, zip ties and duct tape are a travel must have.

In 9 months we will be packing the camper and trailer and heading on the road to do a job in Indiana, then there is the Canada job, LOL Book Soggy Moose Construction early , unless we are teaching diving, running a race, or I am the greeter at Walmart. :lmao: :lmao:

Not quite Pete. That is my file. I need the .xls (excel) file so I can add the info to it, then convert it to .pdf

So, if you can provide that excel file again, I promise I will keep it close to my heart and never ever delete it. Make the change and then do the conversion.

Scott, so when are you hosting AC night in WY? You know you have a few CO dis'ers who would head north for that:cool2: Your bar looks amazing!

The only thing we have going on for the 30th is the Dole Whip for Bawb meet on MK at 2:00, which I will highly encourage anyone who listens to the podcast to go to! Bawb was a Dole whip lover, so a bunch of us are getting together to have one for him! It's at Aloha Isle, and there is a thread on the podcast board....

Are little monkeys...ahem, kids, allowed to attend the OKW meet? I promise he doesn't drink that much wine...yet, at least!

Okay, really, I am off to pack now. I am getting excited...woke up at 0530 for no good reason, but my stinkin throat is still sore:sad2:

Man, there is alot of things going on.......

Well, I was up at 6:30 this am for no good reason other than the little monkey voice in my head would not stop!! I was running down my list of stuff I need to get done!

Unfortunately, I don't think we will be able to make any of the precruise meets. We don't get in Sat. until 2:30. Once we wait the 2 hours for our luggage, lol, and then the grocery stop, grab a bite and the kids want pool time...... Sunday, heading to DTD for a while, a little more pool time and then to MK for our Castle tour and EEMH. We'll be the ones at the port with toothpicks holding their eyes open!!!! I think teens are as exhausting as toddlers!!

Bummer missing the OKW meet, usually host that event. You all have fun. WIll call ya If I remember.

Thanks Peter. How do ya do it?
As Scott say, you da man.
I also have the pdf link in my signature.

Sorry we won't make any of the meets. Long story.
We won't arrive at MCO until 10:30 cruise day.
Figure 1 hour to get luggage and get on the bus.
Another hour on the bus to port.
So we will get to port after Scott has already ran onboard and up and down all of the decks. About 12:30.
Unfortunately, we won't arrive until after Leslie (with the ie) has eaten all of the shrimp. But then, we know she won't eat all the Mango Soup.

Up early today. Not my choice. :dogdance:
So she is fed and walked. Me time now. :surfweb:
Heading out to the spa in a few.

Overnight company needed to head back home, so we will begin the packing today.

Vitamin C and Zinc for all of those susceptible to colds and such.
Main thing. Get plenty of rest. (are you listening Scott)

Sounds like this will be a lively bunch with plenty to do.
Looking forward to seeing one and all.

random question not about JB, sorry guys LOL. Has anyone been tracking the weather? Starting to pack and wondering if I should bring extra plastic bags for my cast if its going to be raining

with it being the peak of hurricane season, I would say pack them, Better safe then sorry.

I'm so sorry you have to think of all these extras now, but very glad you didn't have to cancel

This is what I found this morning.

System #1 may bring something by week's end.
System #2 looks like it is unorganized and may turn north soon.

I have always had a good feeling about our September cruises.
This one, I have been hedging my bets. It has been too quiet.
Yes, we bought the travel insurance this time.

Nftysqrt, since you are midship, you should be in good shape.

After we sailed thru the 25 foot waves of the Atlantic last year, the caribbean will be a piece of cake.:thumbsup2
