Congratulations! We retired March 1st, and have been celebrating ever since. You cannot imagine what a difference it will make in your life!

To the family that lost both their mothers - My heart goes out to you. These big life transitions are so hard on the people who remain, and I know how much you will miss them.

I've started my packing piles, made my down leg hotel ressies, and ordered up my owners locker delivered to the Radisson. Feeling GOOD!

Tracy, thank so much for the link - our docs are scheduled to arrive on Monday. I am thrilled about this, but being a newbie I have no idea what these documents will even be LOL I just know it means our cruise is almost here. So what exactly are "the documents"?

And while I am asking newbie questions, I am wondering about the fuel surcharge (saw info at another place on this site). If we have to pay that, did we already do so with our final payment, or is this something extra we will need to pay once on the ship? With 2 rooms and 7 cruisers, this is not a tiny charge, so I want to be prepared.

If you had to pay a fuel supplement you already have. It depends when you made the reservation if there was a fuel supplement.

Who is doing the opposite and staying at WDW before the cruise? We're staying at the CRB from Aug 26th till the first. It's going to be tough staying up till 3am for EMH at the Magic Kingdom and getting to the port by 11am the next day, but it will be worth it! At least we'll get to relax on the cruise.

We are staying at POFQ from 8/26 - 9/1, and too funny about the MK night! My ds turns 13 on 8/31 and he has planned the whole day...breakfast at CM, Disney Quest in the afternoon, dinner at HDDR, and then MK until 3 am

I do not think mom and the little sisters will make the late night at MK, but Dad and his older brother have happily agreed to keep him company for the night. My guys will be the bleery eyed ones when the cruise starts, but glad to know they will have company

Hi there, for those of you that are planning on rebooking dummy date one board then changing it I saw this at the top of the page
NEW CANCELLATION POLICY - Effective 8/31/08

If you need to cancel your cruise and are within the penalty period for doing so, Disney Cruise Line will no longer allow you to change the date. You will be required to cancel your existing cruise and absorb whatever penalties are in effect and rebook the new date.

Tracy, I hope you can help. I have not head from my TA ,I dont even know her name but I'm getting a little nervous with all the talk of receiving docs. I don't even have an assign cabin yet could you look into this for me. I'v always had an assign cabin so the GTY is new to me.
