Does everyone want one group order or would you prefer to order your own bracelets? The plus side to ordering your own is being able to order smaller sizes for kids. It's cheaper to order an amount of at least 100. If we decide to order individually, www.shanrene.com is the place to go. If we decide to make a group order of at least 100, then we can order from www.theawristocrat.com.

What's the general consensus?

Well
I would like to have the Lime green color!!!

Lisa, if you are willing to take orders and payments, we could easly do the hundred!

you could also include a shipping fee for those who do not want to wait til we get to the ship..;)

We can take a head count when it gets a little closer and see how many adult and/or child sized bracelets we need. Keep thinking about slogans, too.

Peter this is great! We can wear 2 bracelets on each wrist to fit it all on!:thumbsup2

I like the idea of the lime green color, and the group order paid in advance.

Here's another that has been suggested:

How about Recapturing the Magic Sept 1-6, 2008?

Maybe we could keep a list of all suggestions and then narrow them down as we get closer?

I really like the Were Back, and we could sell braclets to the crew that say "They'r Back"

Happy Hump Day Y'all.

In the words of the immortal Buster Poindexter, it's
HOT HOT HOT.

I always look forward to summer, but the last few days have been brutal.

Back to business.
Looks like the thread is getting chatty again. Good.:thumbsup2
It is always nice to have a couple or three pages to read each day.

Now all you have to do is get Peter to do the t-shirts!!!:lmao:
I vote for Peter!
Love the idea! Now a slogan!
"We're Back - Lanyard People 9/08"
Yes, I like anything that incorporates the name Lanyard People.
I had this on the upper back of one of my shirts on the repo cruise.

It's HOT here in Jersey too. Reached 100 with a heat index of over 100... not quite used to all these days in a row with no relief.

Bob, That must have been fun to wear that shirt! LANYARD PERSON :yay:

Scott - GREAT idea! :rotfl2: They're Back!!! :scared1:

I dont because it excludes everyone who never cruised with you and have no idea what it means. :confused3

It means that we are the people with the lanyards that all match. You didn't have to cruise with anyone else before, you are doing it now and will have a lanyard (there are a bunch of people contributing towards the lanyards and nametags).

In the past on cruises (actually most with lanyards) people have referred to the group of DISers as the "Lanyard People". Does this change your mind :goodvibes

I've told this story before, but it is a cute one.

On the Panama Canal Westbound Repo, the first cruise that we were on with as part of the dis-crew, was the first time I heard the phrase Lanyard People.

I believe that it was on the second night out, after we left Castaway Cay.
Lee and I were in the elevator going to dinner. We were proudly wearing our lanyards. Just before the elevator stopped at the deck for dinner, one of the other occupants, dressed in all of her finest, looked at us and with such a snooty tone in her voice stated, "Oh, you are one of those Lanyard People".
Not another word was said.:lmao:

Til this day, I do not know who was responsible for the reputation.
After all, the great Chair Robbery had not taken place yet.
Nor had the Big Sleepover. Nor the Jammie Breakfast or Pirate Night.
It could possibly been the grass skirts at the sail away, but I doubt it.
So, does anyone want to fess up?
