The Mais, just came out of surgery and is doing ok, due to the late hour they wish to keep her over night!

So glad she made it out okay! It's so hard to leave a puppy overnight! Get a good night's sleep. She'll be so glad to see you in the morning!!!

I had jury duty today (my one day off this week) and was picked for a Felony trial. Since we are so short-handed at work, I get to serve on the jury during the day and work at night. Should make for an interesting week.

This past weekend I got to spend time with the Good Ol' Boys. NASCAR.
Saw my first Busch race saturday night and then the Cup race at Indy on sunday...

this was the view from our seats.

But even at a NASCAR race, you caint git away from Disney.
Has anyone seen these?

Had a sample of them and they were tasty.

Then there was the advertisement for a new movie...

The car was all done up for the Underdog Movie.

All in all, it was a great time.

Bob, havn't seen the Mickey Burgers, but did see Pirate ones. They were in the shape of a pirate flag. Now I have a quest for the Mickey Burgers, will start at Walmart then our local King Sopers.

Ok, spending time with mom, but it might as well be babysitting She is doing much, much better this week. The doctor was impressed. In a couple weeks we'll have another scan and see how things are progressing or not.

Thanks Ann, I am working it hard since we have been home. I have been in the gym every day except for Kevins surgery day. I am trying to get a routine going that I can continue on the truck. I am focusing on feeling better, and I refuse to weigh myself right now because I don't want to get discouraged.

Hey don't get discouraged Cindy. Hang in there. It takes little steps. No big leaps. I think that you are going to be an inspiration to us that need to shed a few.

....One month till the DL 1/2 marathon and training is going pretty well. ...

.....Lynn and the pups are doing well, she is training hard for the DL ½ marathon. I have been pretty good was going to do more this weekend but got other projects done.

Jenn has just taken her to the vet for her second surgery seems the $1200.00 did not work , but this $1800.00 one will solve the problem.

TOTAL EAR CANAL ABLATION ...

she will be deaf in the ear and may have a head tilt for the rest of her life,
she is only 3

We are hoping that the head tilt will not be severe.

tis surgery, in the end will be the vest result for her.

as of now she is on Prednazone every day!!
and is not her happy snuggly self!!!....

The Cherry is a Wreck looking for her Maisy!!!
and now I have to leave her alone as i head off for work.

Peter, Jenn, Cherry and Maisy, you are in our thoughts here.
When Maisy had her other procedure, we asked our vet about it and he explained about that and the Ablation.

Know that it will be a bit difficult for her being deaf in one ear, but I have found that dogs adapt to about anything. Tippy slowly went deaf but she found other ways to keep track of what was going on around her.

Our best wishes to a speedy recovery and to going home tomorrow.

Where did you see Pirate burgers? Our local Target is selling the Mickey burgers but for some reason, they're not in the store's computer system. The cashier asked US what we wanted to pay for them! (Had I known that, I would have bought 10 boxes! )

Lynn scored Mouse Burgers at the local King Soopers, which is the western version of Kroger and Smiths. KEWL!!!!

We are off to a book signing tonight here in Cheyenne. Michael Wallis, the voice of the Sheriff in Cars, has also written several books, and the signing is for one about US 30. As our house borders Route 30 on the south side it seems appropriate. I also have another one of his books, “Route 66 The Mother Road”. Will try to get that one signed. Route 66 is kinda special to me as it was the route we traveled to get to Missouri as a kid to visit my Grand parents, and on my first cross country bicycle trip we rode Rt 66 from Ca to St Louis.

I hope Maisy made it home ok, and she is reunited with Cherry.

We have that book. Wonderful. Did the Route66 trip about 10 years back. Probably my favorite non-cruise trip we have been on. We went from Jackson St in Chicago to the pier in Santa Monica. 14 days.
This was the trip that we got to meet Roy Rogers when he had the museum in Victorville CA.
The neatest place to stay was the concrete tee pees.
