Hope Father's Day was wonderful for all you dads out there !!

Back from my Hawaii trip. What a way to live in Paradise.

BUT, VERY, VERY expensive to live there........

If my son wasn't in the Army, the family would not be living there and back in good 'ol Alabama.

He comes home from Iraq in about October, after his 3rd deployment there, (ugh!!) and his retirement is being processed. Oh, to retire at 43 and then get another great job.

Elaine, today is my Torrid day! I need a ned swimsuit That should put a damper on the whole trip. Did you get any good loot? Last time I went I got a grey shirt with little stars all over it. It is so comfy I'm getting a few more today in different colors. LAst time Kevin went with me and picked out an aqua tote purse with gold sparrows on it. I love it, which surprises me because our taste isn't always the same. He wants to go to the cheesecake factory for lunch but I told him no food for me today until AFTER I put my big butt in a swimsuit.

Peter, you lucky duck. I wish I could take a few months off of work. We are working on paying the house off so I can be a lady of leisure some day. I'd probley just get bored though. Until then I guess I'll just keep on truckin'!

I guess I am looking for excursion reviews. I bet with our group, we have all done something different at the ports. Some of you have been to Castaway Cay 10+ times and I wanted to hear about all of the different planned and unplanned trips.

Ok, this is easy! I have been to Nassau once on RCCL and did a snorkeling excursion that was in the channel. It was not good, too much current, not much sun so not much color.

Castaway Cay we have never done any excursions there. We have swam the snorkel trail once (backwards) and have snorkeled over at the adult beach. Wait! We did do an excursion once -- Castaway Rays. It was really neat. I loved that they brought the stingrays up to you and then you could snorkel with them afterwards.

Howdy Folks!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Sorry I haven't been getting too active on the thread, but work has been a pain (isn't it always?).

Anyway, I get the impression that there is going to be an abundance of Bobs on this cruise. Any idea how many?

Also, as an FYI, I am doing my best to surprise DW with this cruise. She has no clue that it is even booked. We are also booked on the 11/29/07 for our 10th anniversary, but something posessed me to book this one when they opened it up, and I can't bring myself to cancel it at the price I paid, with two stops at CC.

So, my goal is for this to be a total surprise to her, i.e. she doesn't know anything until we pull up to the ship. Still working on the excuse to go from Atlanta to central Florida on Labor Day week, but I will figure out something.

We did the Jet ski one, one time...

Other than that and the Great Hammock Race..

We just like to relax.

Cyndi...we ran out of time and didn't make it to Torrid but we did make it to Bob Evans....Cracker Barrel and Johnny Rockets!!!!!!!

We usually don't do excursions. We have done one disney excursion..and that was the historical city tour in Nassau..it was excellent. We usually hire our own taxi/tour guide when we get somewhere, take the quick tour and then enjoy the rest of the time visiting with the locals and tasting the local cuisine.

At castaway cay we like to relax on the adult beach, or not even as far..we stop at the bar..the one out on the point with all the fake pelicans. Great place to relax..especially when Darko is bartending.
