Celeste, I read the blog too. Now that you have worked out with the pole, when is the first public performance?:cool1:

People who don't know me are REALLY raising their eyebrows...:lmao: :lmao:
Keep on wondering....:rotfl2:

I think the poles on deck are too wide. Hmmm, maybe the cruise director can get me a portable one for the stage and I'll do it as part of the adult talent show....yep, that's the deal. If there is one for that, you'll see it then. I had someone ask me if I was doing this so I could become a stripper. (excuse me, dancer.) :scared: I about fell over laughing.

Sorry Bob :grouphug: It's true, you never know when and you'll always surprised that you're the one left standing. Sorry for your loss.

Bob, Sorry to hear your news, bummer. The Cheyenne Deputy Police Chief died Monday; he was 45, while running on a treadmill.

One never knows, I choose to drink fully from the cup of life, and when my cup is empty, that would be a tin cup for my Challis, drag myself back to the bar where the spirit of adventure is poured and fill it up again, till the bar is dry. I want to be the last man standing.

Good Evening All....
Beautiful evening here in the heartland. 83° and just a few clouds at sunset.
We need rain, but the grass will just have to live with it.

1 year and 1/2 months to go. I am ready.
Funeral for a friend of mine today. He had a massive heart attack saturday.
He was a very active person. Hiked, biked and camped. He loved to travel.
Here's the kicker....he was younger than me.

So it makes you think to enjoy each and every day
Enjoy each and every person you know and meet.
(this was not meant to be a downer)

Everyone have a great week.

So sorry to hear the news of your loss. It's always a shock when it happens to someone you know, particularly when they didn't appear to be ill.

I haven't crossed the "50 year line" yet but often hear of people one or two degrees off that have died who are younger...Certainly does make you think a bit. Kinda makes you think before yelling at the kids for some of the dumb stuff they do:rolleyes1

I can appreciate your sentiment to get the most out of each day... Maybe we should book another DCL trip!

Best wishes...

Ray

We are taking our very first family cruise with you all--I can't wait. DD will be 8, DS will be 9. We are going with SIL & family, staying in 7030 and 7028.

I'm really sorry for your loss. :grouphug:

One really get's a glimpse of reality when something like this happens regardless of the age. Each day counts... each one.

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

This will be a GREAT first cruise for you! Take a peek at Peter's link on the first page of this thread and read up on everything!

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

I've been trying to read up on everything now that I've found this board, but it's a little much to take in--thank goodness we have a year to plan!
The kids are very excited about the Oceaneers Lab. My son (will be 9) says he is going to spend all of his time there, or at the pool. My daughter (will be 8) just wants to spend time with her cousin, and my husband is looking forward to scuba diving in Nassau. Me, I just want quiet time with a book and a spa day!

Bob,

So sorry to hear about your friend. We lost our sister-in-law in 2002 quite suddenly. She was only 42. It was one of the reasons we did our vow renewal in 2004 at 27 1/2 years instead of waiting till we hit 30 years. You just never know what will happen tomorrow.

To all the new posters,

Welcome! I look forward to making many new friends on this cruise!

Celeste,

i'm impressed with your new 'hobby'. Always wanted to try it after seeing Teri Harcher on Oprah. If I can find some classes around here maybe I'll give it a try!

Same here... the Lanyard People Group is Growing!!!

Janis... if only we lived closer, then maybe I'd have the nerve to do a class together! I don't think I'd have the guts to do it by myself.

Yes Welcome Aboard, Peter's Post with a good outline is where to start.

Don't forget to pack some grass skirts....

Welcome aboard! My DD will be 9 and I know she will be at the kids club! We'll have to drag her out to eat with us. My DH went scuba diving in Nassau last year on our cruise! He enjoyed it! Even saw some sharks;)
